Zatcher is a timid horse that loves to observe his surroundings. He often snorts and watches things that both amuse and concern him. He spends a lot of time watching people get on with their day, and can get stressed if behind a wall or there is nothing to watch in view. His stare seems wise and intelligent, although he is still a young horse, and there are many things he is unsure of. His favourite thing to do is learn tricks with his rider. He gets very excited if he understands something fast, and being praised seems to give him great pleasure. Zatcher will not bolt and spook often, but that does not mean he isn’t afraid. In fact, he’s probably one of the most cautious horses you’ll ever meet. Instead of fighting or fighting he will freeze. He will freeze even at a flat out gallop, and it is hard to get him going again if the things concerning him hasn’t gone away. A reassuring pat and soothing voice works wonders with him however, and he will behave less afraid when around humans he trusts.

When it comes to affection for both humans and horses, he is unusual for a stallion. Zatcher loves to nuzzle and snuggle. Although he’ll only really snuggle with his rider, he loves to nuzzle his head into their armpit and stand there with his face hidden from the world. If one stands near him, they are bound to be harassed, he will sniff and nibble at hair and tug on hoods. He is not afraid of strangers and is easy to approach, although he prefers a hand sniff first.

Zatcher is a stable favourite with most staff and guests, mainly because he has the best personality. As the stable is made up of mostly Alfkaks, horses around here aren’t naturally friendly. And of course it's easy to look good when compared to Endgame… Infact he doesn’t really have much competition in the friendly department. Ironically, the other friendly horse would be the only other Zlesdin, Valentine, but it's a little hard to appreciate her when her owner is so grumpy. So Zatcher is always the one to greet guests and to get the treats, he’s not against taking green riders out every now and again too. His friendliness suits his rider well, and only when his fear holds him back do they ever disagree.
Although he must admit, he’s not too friendly towards Endgame and her rider, having both overly aggressive and over friendly forces attacking him at the same time is nearly always too overwhelming. He’ll tolerate just the rider harassing him sometimes though...he likes to poke his butt and say the word ‘spoots’ … peculiar human, Zatcher assumes it is a human foal , judging by the way Endgame acts like he’s hers.

When it comes to other horses, Zatcher spends a lot of time around the two red mares Essentia and Gala. He finds them rather intimidating, but he doesn't really have a choice seeing as his rider gets along with their rider so well. If any horse were to make him freeze the most, it would be those two when they give him the stink eye. This of course doesn’t count Endgame as being a horse, because she isn’t, she’s a monster.

Discipline: Zatcher loves to jump! Although he hasn’t braved higher than a metre yet, he loves to show off his power and dart around the ring. He feels very proud when he clears a jump, but doesn’t like the jolt of fear whenever he hits a rail. This results in him over jumping a lot. He will also jump over trotting poles, which can be a challenge when trying to do dressage training. He has natural talent for dressage, and enjoys it like he enjoys learning tricks. He is most motivated through positive reinforcement, and likes to get a quick treat from his rider, dismounted or mounted. However if he doesn’t get a treat he doesn’t sulk, which his owner appreciates. Mostly, he assumes he just hasn’t done good enough yet, and strives to improve and win the game. When it comes to eventing, from what they’ve attempted, he doesn’t quite have the guts for it. His biggest fear is water, but he also isn’t a fan of oddly shaped jumps. Especially keyhole jumps! Why would you voluntarily go through that? No thanks! His owner has taken him to a few indoor cross country courses, but only the future will tell if he can get over his fear of water and outdoor obstacles.

Pets: Zatcher is very fearful of larger dogs and black cats, but will get along with small dogs. He still hasn't quite figured out how he feels about cows. He knows he hates crows, they are so mean! He will try shoo them off of his paddock fence if he sees them.

Treats: Zatchers favourite treat is fresh veggies! Specifically Celery, which is great because his owner likes them too. They’ll always be carrying around a bag of Celery to munch on together.

Quirks:
Zatcher likes to make funny faces more than most horses, possibly due to his smile trick.

Demetrios is a very calm and gentle natured person. He makes friends with nearly everyone that approaches him, but won’t often seek out friendship that isn’t invited. He is naturally kind and loves animals, he will be gentle with children and is extremely patient. It is almost impossible to start a fight with him because he will not hold grudges or judge others. It’s impossible to get him to snap so if you’re the type to win arguments physically you won’t get anywhere. That is of course unless you endanger other people, then there will be a short but effective retaliation that will put you out of commission(humanely, of course). This does have a downside, where he is often walked over, and tolerates too much shit. But usually he’ll have a friend that has his back, and will do the confronting for him. He gets along with everyone at the school, because he naturally adapts to them. He is quiet around Carson and Austin, and boisterous around people like Jakob and Ellie. Although when it comes to Amery, he is often left confused, because he tells some really strange jokes? Demetrios doesn’t often laugh, maybe sometimes he’ll crack a smile. That isn’t due to a lack of trying on Amery’s part though, and sometimes he makes it awkward when he jokes and Demetrios doesn’t respond. In fact he’s one of the only people that Amery doesn’t harass too much, simply because he won't get anywhere with him...he won’t laugh, but also wont get amusingly annoyed like Austin will, so what's the point?

History:
Demetrios grew up in a large but happy family. He gets along well with both of his parents, and started riding as a pass time with his father. His father can’t ride anymore after a stroke, but Demetrios has started taking his competitive riding seriously in order to make him proud. He got his patience from growing up with his many sisters, and is very understanding of other people. His personality reflects his upbringing, naive due to the peaceful life he’s had up until this point. His family is happy, and his sisters are doing well at school and in their careers. He doesn’t really know how to respond to people like Carson and Austin, who have experienced great trauma, but luckily, they don’t tend to talk much anyway.

He has many pets at home, and works at the military base down the road as a gait guard in order to provide for them.

His bad habits include snacking on too much candy, and giving other people’s horses treats and attention when people aren’t looking. He can be a little scared of the Alfkaks around, but will still try make peace with them. When it comes to Endgame, he respects her space, clearly she doesn’t want to be friends, but he will throw a celery stick to her sometimes. Maybe one day they can make an alliance?

Discipline: Demetrios is proficient in 3 day eventing and Endurance, however he has never competed in Endurance. He has competed with other people’s horses in 3DE, but hasn’t owned his own horse until now. Despite competing in 3DE, he doesn’t have any plans for it in the future, his skill is mostly in showjumping.
