Description Alyx patching gordon up
Check out the sketch version here:  imthepotatoking.tumblr.com/pos… Idk which one is better.. lol
This isn't really /that finished... but whatever.. I really wanted to upload this. Focused more on what the characters were doing rather than anatomy and what actually makes sense.... so it might not be the most correct piece, but i am really happy because of what I actually focused on. There is more story to this than my other works and actually depicts something happening and is more interesting. This is something i need to improve on so im glad i was able to do it here!!! and freemance :3

done without references, sorry! oops lol

just wow, you definitely outdid yourself with this one! I'm a bit late here, but I at least don't find anything in the anatomy to be wonky or unrealistic; this is honestly such a natural piece and full of raw emotion. LOVE the pose and how expressive it is, even if the expression was removed from gordon's face, it would be clear on Alyx's body lenguage how worried she is about him.

Reminds me someone who almost lost the most important person on their life, and it's a very powerful piece that speaks volumes on their relationship

ah man... you're the best ;u; lol thank you so much... I feel like I do not focus on this part of art. I hope to create more art like this! I was feeling really inspired for this one, thats why. But this year im going to try to focus on more art like this. It was a different process than what I normally go through (usually im a perfectionist on if it makes sense or not and that really holds me back) but i focused more on the interaction this time. it was fun and i really love the outcome.

I'm really glad that somewhat of a story is coming out of this! It means a lot.

No need to thank me at all, this was such an interesting and beautiful piece to analyze! And if that's the case I'm very much looking forward, I always enjoy when a backstory is apparent behind a portrait like with this one.

And I understand how being a perfectionist or hard on yourself can be difficult. Even if I can make something full of errors I'm not able to fix properly, it still tears me up inside whenever I notice them (speaking of old pieces here as well)! I guess we'll always be our worst critics, it is the curse of the artist as they say.
