I had this as an amusing idea one day and drew the good Cap'n sittin' and sippin' a cup of tea. People always see him as the badass, loud mouth, cussin' pilot (which he is ^_^ and we all love), but I always find it so interesting showing him more laid back and calm way too. Especially with him showing proper tea drinking manners
Makes me wanna just sit down and have a cup of tea myself. 
Was originally gonna be a humourous piece featuring the two disney characters Mad Hatter and March Hare having a "tea party" of sorts, but unfortunetly I got bored with it and just kept Cid. I might have the rough coloured crap thing of that around, I can chuck it into scraps, otherwise, this is the finished piece!
Experimented with a different technique for colouring, I like it pretty much. PS the weapon of choice.

Very, very nice! It's been said before, but the pinky is something special. Cid's true class comes out when no one else is around. What really caught my eye here is the slant of his eyebrows and his expression. The only word I can think of to describe it is rapture. 'Tea induced rapture.'
Your experimental colouring is eye-catching and really brings the picture to life. Loving the shine on his belt buckle. Very cool work

Nice to see him laid back, and, of course, with proper tea-drinking manners. 
I love the colouring, too. You've really captured Cid, in this piece, very nicely. Nice one.

I LOVE THIS! You know you should visit my DA page and read my Cid Highwind fanfiction called "My Happy Ending." I have Cid doing normal things, and in later chapters some very funny and unlikely things in sotre for our dear ADORABLE pilot!

As for Cid and Shera not together, well.....................................yer my damn HERO. I finally have hope in this world. It don't bother me seeing him with someone else (well not that yaoi stuff, but like Tifa) instead of Shera. I cannot express my dislike for that pairing.........it may be considered offensive...........*chews off left foot*
Hopefully I will have more random, normal, exciting, hawt, humourous, etcetera Cid stuff soon.

This is an art my best buddy did! We were immensely pissed off that the idiots at S-E decided they should be MARRIED for whatever god awful reasin, so we plotted revenge, and this is what she came up with.

Hehehe, the first thing that struck me was his pinky finger sticking out. Thats a nice touch. Its good to see he has good manners... you've trained him well ^_^ The colouring looks really nice... kinda has a watercoloury feel to it. You always do contrast really well... which I suck at 
The little gleam of light on the buckles works really well, and the little bit of backlight on his hair ^_^

Awwww thanks Joe!!! You noticed all the little special tidbits that I put in there. Things I wouldn't think that'd get noticed, but add to the overall "feel" of it. *gives a cup of tea*
Wouldn't you know it that the contrast part was what I got stuck on the most for this. Everything looked so similar and felt like it had no depth. I ended up making layer after layer just to get it like this. I <3 watercolourish look.
