Panel 1: Poker Face Panel 2: Night Vision Panel 3: These Scars Panel 1: Wanna Know How (Stranger) Panel 2: Nightvision (The Dark Knight) Panel 3: Poker Face (Here's My Card) This was my very first attempt at drawing the Joker. This was originally going to be the only panel, but the Joker is far too addictive and I feel bad for dissing Batman. I like him too.
I am still struggling with painting metal. I am also unhappy with the light which is falling on the card to the very left.
The Joker designs on the cards I drew separately and scanned in, although they were decimated by then. I initially structured the picture by drawing his skeleton in and scanning.
I used the orange light to link all the pictures, as if a fire were burning Gotham. The white light coming from the other side of him I just thought helped show his clothes better and reminded me of the cold light of the seedy mobster hideouts.
I made him lick his knifeblade because I wanted to combine the licking lips habit and his mouth-carving business.

Yeah, I was going to make them purple but I thought black would work better with the colour balancing.

It looks incredible, but I would consider changing the color of the knife wood thingy for it appears to be another finger. Apart from that it looks amazing.

Yeah, I finished the final product about two weeks ago and I've changed that. Just need to clear out my message box before I can post anything new.

This painting rocks! The style of the strokes looks cool, and I have to say you are pretty talented with a mouse! You've done a great job with the shading, and the highlights of yellow.
With metal, remember that it generally reflects what is around it, and I think you've basically got that part down pat.

I was just looking again, and I think there shouldn't be the yellow light on the knife handle and the top hand's thumb.
I think the index finger would block the yellow light on the knife handle, and the knife handle would block the light on the thumb.
Same as with the middle finger on the bottom hand. The index finger should block the light.
(Of course, I'm just guessing where the light source is coming from, but about level with the his right shoulder...?)

One think I have to add though, and this might just be me, but at my first glance when I looked at this I thought the handle of the knife was one of his fingers. I was like "WOAH, blade growing out of finger, SCARY!" ... and then I got it. xDDD It's because the handle matches his gloves. n____n
