Description "An army is like a Castle, it need to have Solid fundation, Constants size of stones, and important thing,
  to be seen as a whole to work as efficiently as your castle can be peacefull and great to live on.
  That's why That Army Tree of Classes is build like a castle, with two symetrical area of spear and swords,
  and a lone tower of archers."

1st line: we have rhe rookies, nothing more to say aside the male swordman is based on erika.
(eliwood shape was too noble for a generic sprite)

2nd line: The 1st class units, regulars from FE series, plus the footman class for a more balanced base.

3rd line: Sniper bow is replaced by Nomad's shape to let the last class have the more impressive bow.
Nothing to say about others regular units, exept halbarder who is based on Footman shape.

The elites were the most part of this sheet as GBA era of FE don't have 3rd class units.

- Elite.archer is a improved sniper as his bow was already too impresive to be customized.

- Elite.Solider is based on Halbarder found on the net. Also it's a Spear only class because
soliders have to be like the stones of the castle, constants and specialised in their ability.

- Marchall is the only army class to wield the full triangle, mostly to compense his move restriction.

- Great.Cav and Crusader are both edge of a class:
Crusader is a ATK class don't need a shield as he evade, but risk severe damage if he is hit like the character they are based on, Eliwood.
Great.Cav is a DEF unit you already know but moved on Elite range, high HP but low Speed/Move.
They wield spear and either Sword or Axe depending on which side of the tree they come from.
Optimal defense would be General base, but Paladin base offer a greater base atk.

- Gladiator, like many spriter already did, is based on Hector, but primary are Swordmen whenever he comes from mercenary or footman as basic unit.

Notes on the sheet:

I wanted a little weapon restriction (no sword) to the Great.Cav to fit the dual Cav classes
(Crusader with Sword and Spear and Great.Cav with Spear and Axe)
but since Paladin (who use swords) can upgrade, i had to not apply the idea.

Marshall is supposed to be the only class who wield the whole triangle of weapon, this mean General only gain Axe from the Knight upgrade, and Marshall is the one who get Sword in the up process.

Sniper and Elite.Archer differences are in their ability level

The crusaders (ally and ennemy) at top of the sheet were the beta version of the actual generic class

The names in the sheet are in french, not a mistake, it's just my native language.

There IS actually a set of infantry class using sword+spear in this sheet, un'mounted cavaliers. To be or not used.

There is a "dancer-like" unit too, as you can see outside of the tree. Elite version is cavalier and was supposed to be based on someone else's sprite in EmblemSpriter group.

so if you know who dit the original "halbarder" sheet, please tell me, or tell him i used his work.

I re read some old comments and well, it's time to re-answer to this one (like an update).
Magic users are almost done, custom staffs too, and I just released Flying units sample today.

Shure they are, but here it's a regular hero to apply the consept of Footman unit.

And yeah, i plan to do class tree for each Magic with new class, and for themes like
nomad tribe, mercenary/pirate and of course flying units, but some sprites are similar
to other deviants sprites, so before, i need their aproval for using a "look like" sprites
