Description
So yeah. As I colored her I realized how incredibly similar to Nightcrawler she is. But even so, don't let the similarities fool you. She's her own character very much apart from the (adorable) X-man who inspired her.Rain is a favorite OC despite the lack of play she sees. She's a darling little demon who's power is mainly in her ability to teleport. Her people were hunted for their horns. Their tails were often sold by witches as charms against evil as well. Rain is one of the few survivors and lives with terrifying memories of family and friends being massacred by men.
She travels with another of my OCs, Liril, who is on the run from magic users. Together they run a "Dragon Heart" scam (for lack of a better term - its late and I'm tired). Rain terrorizes the target-town and Liril comes in to "slay" the demon...for a price of course.
Since both of them are cautious of others to the point of being anti-social their little alliance is the perfect match!

Such a cool character and her design is amazing!!! :3 I love her eyes and how much they stand out from the darkness of her skin. They draw you in really well! And the way she accesorizes her horns, gotta love that! A girl that knows what she's doing!

Ah thankyou so much when I wrote her up for the first time her design was black skin, black hair, black horns and bright - almost neon - green eyes. But when I was coloring her that changed slightly for the sake of making it more....varied I guess. I'm glad her eyes are still what pull you in.

Oh wow, I'm pictureing her with the neon eyes and... I imagine you'd see them in pitch dark! XD I think she turned out fantastic either way. Oh my gosh I would be honored to see fan art of my characters. You could do whatever you wanted - she loves to perch though so you might do something like her perching in a tree or something like that. Besides that, your options are wide open!

Aww! That's a sad story, no wonder she looks so scared. So yeah, your coloring is beautiful! It also makes the whole image clearer - for instance, I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even notice her cute demon tail in the sketch. D: Seriously, how did I miss that? And the piercings on her horns are a really cool detail! Ahh, she's so cute, and I love how much her pretty green eyes stand out against her dark skin & hair. Also your background! It's supercool and fits into the mood of the overall piece so well! I'm especially jealous because I CANNOT BACKGROUND. So yeah.

Ha, don't let that fool you. I can't background to save my skin. I was attempting them for commissions for extra monies but in the end I decided the success rate wasn't worth the dollars I got for trying. This is a pretty darn easy thing to do. I got a free to use space stock, some tree brushes, and used the select - erase combo. Woot.
Anyway, yeah, that's why I started coloring her right after uploading the blacklines. There was a lot that I felt just didn't come across in the inking. Its funny that you didn't see the tail though. Oh colors, how you rock.

No, trust me, this is still much better than what I could do, even with stock images and stuff. I've tried making background from various resources, but for some reason I just don't have the knack for it, or I lack the proper editing eye, or something, because I always end up stepping back, looking at it, and then thinking: Well that looks stupid. And so transparent backgrounds for everybody! x3
The coloring is so so pretty, but the lines were awesome too.

I lack the eye for complicated background then. I'm sure it has something to do with my wretched grasp on math and consequently my wretched skill with perspective.
