Description
These are the CirqueCon 2006 - Las Vegas drawings that made the final cut. The final concept was rhythmic gymnastics and integrating that into each of the Las Vegas Cirque shows.Revisions... Cirque du Soleil informed me that in order to use my drawings in any published sense, they wanted me to delete their show logos. The worry was that people would think I was an official Cirque du Soleil artist, which I am not. It was annoying, but I agreed to make the changes needed. I drew the replacement item, and then it was digitally placed into the drawing to cover whatever Cirque wanted me to hide.
Title: "Fuchi" program version
To cover the Kà logo, as requested by Cirque du Soleil, I created a crest with the word “Fuchi” (literally ‘futshi’) scripted on it in a language I have created called Kavelinn. The publication of this piece in the CirqueCon program packet was the first time Kavelinn had been published anywhere! Oddly enough, the lines on that inner seam of the costume matched my Kavelinn script perfectly, even though the two parts were drawn about a month apart!

Yep! I used a couple pieces of reference from Cirque du Soleil's show KA (costuming, which I slightly altered) and from the clubs event of rhythmic gymnastics, but other than conceptual stuff, it's original. I sketched in pencil, and then colored in Prismacolor pencils. The drawing was done for the 2006 CirqueCon convention. ^_^
Thanks for your comment! I'm so happy you like the piece!

I didn't draw it for Cirque du Soleil. ^_^ I drew it for myself and brought it backstage with me at KA so I could get signatures on it... just for a special momento. It's not an official Cirque du Soleil piece... just a colored pencil drawing by a fan for personal contentment.
It ended up getting lost by one of the artists in KA anyway. *laughs* Thus is life.
I'm glad you like it though!

Thanks! Those flames took FOREVER! *laughs* But I'm very happy with how they came out... they just enhance the position of the character so much.
