Description I've seen a few other people do this sort of thing and thought I'd try it for myself. As you can probably see, I didn't really follow the directions, but instead did my own thing. These pictures are in no particular order of inspiration (if they were, the entire top row would have been Claudio Sanchez). There are a lot of musicians on this list for the simple fact that that's what I am: a musician. Without music, I'd be boring and probably depressed all the time.

========

1. Paul Gray Slipknot's bassist since they first started out. The guy who started the band, who practically did everything in the band, who held the band together, and the entire reason I picked up a bass in the first place. Passed away last year, allegedly from an overdose of morphine and fentanyl (a morphine substitute).

2. Matt Bellamy Guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and lead songwriter for Muse. Big fan, I have nearly all of Muse's albums.

3. Homosexuality I'm gay. I also live in a place where that sort of thing is downright hated. And there are plenty of places where it's a lot worse. I just feel that it's something to stand up for, and it's something very important to me, so I often write about it.

4. Claudio Sanchez Guitarist, vocalist and writer for Coheed and Cambria and complete mastermind behind The Prize Fighter Inferno. In my opinion, the greatest musician in the multiverse. Every song tells a story and is part of an immense sci-fi epic which is currently being published in comic book form, as was Claudio's original intention.

5. Travis Stever Lead guitarist for Coheed and Cambria and mastermind behind Davenport Cabinet (formerly known as English Panther). An all around talented musician who I love just because he's in Coheed.

6. Michael Todd Bassist for Coheed and Cambria. Pretty much the same story as Travis.

7. Chris Pennie Coheed and Cambria's current drummer. He first joined I think around the time they started touring for the No World For Tomorrow record just three years ago as of this posting. Brilliant percussionist.

8. Guitar Hero Well who hasn't played Guitar Hero and wanted to play a real guitar?

9. TRON I think TRON has always been something of a sacred artifact in the film world. It was the first movie of its kind, using almost entirely computer generated visuals with real actors thrown into the middle of it. The recent sequel, TRON Legacy lived up to it's predecessor's standards (and mine) by being both a faithful sequel and mindblowingly awesome. Of course, Disney's also decided to make a third movie and an animated TV show, which means they're ignoring the ending of the second film that said "Okay, franchise stops here!" and desecrating this sacred artifact.

10. The Prize Fighter Inferno Claudio Sanchez's solo project, very folky and simplistic. Sort of a prequel to the story told in his band Coheed and Cambria (a prequel at least 200 years before the story).

11. Joss Whedon's Firefly Favorite show ever. Sci-fi western where everybody speaks random bits of Chinese. Unfortunately, it was canceled after 13 episodes, so that tells me that FOX executives are all totally pants-on-head retarded.

12. Claudio Sanchez

13. Billie Joe Armstrong Guitarist, vocalist, and lead songwriter for Green Day. He's also apparently quite outspoken about GLBT rights, being bisexual himself.

14. Mike Dirnt Bassist and backing vocalist for Green Day. In my opinion, the best bassist in the '90s punk scene.

15. Tre Cool In his own words: "Tre Cool is the drummer for Green Day. And he snorts donut sprinkles."

16. Claudio Sanchez

17. The Amory Wars Claudio Sanchez's sci-fi epic, the birthplace of Coheed and Cambria and The Prize Fighter Inferno.

18. Dave Mustaine I used to think that Dave Mustaine got kicked out of Metallica for being a drunken asshole meant that he was always an asshole. Then I found out that he was a generally cool guy, Megadeth sounds cooler than Metallica, and Metallica would have just held Dave back from achieving his true potential with a guitar.

19. Slipknot Heavy, angry, violent music. Made by nine people. I rest my case.

20. Corey Taylor Vocalist for Slipknot and Stone Sour. I just really like his voice and the energy he shows on stage.

21. A Perfect Circle Maynard James Keenan's other project that's not Tool but is just as cool or cooler than Tool.

22. Stone Sour Corey Taylor's original band before he joined Slipknot. A lot less metal, a lot more personal.

23. Billy Corgan Vocalist and guitarist for The Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, and his own solo career. I just love the way he writes and plays his music.

24. Claudio Sanchez

25. Therianthropy It's just what/who I am.

26. Coheed and Cambria I have been a fan since I first heard these guys back when I was a high school freshman, and ever since then, I've been becoming a bigger and bigger fan until they just became my favorite band.

27. Sonata Arctica First metal band I ever listened to, albeit power metal. Also got me into European music in general.

28. Claudio Sanchez

29. Les Claypool Greatest bassist in the multiverse, even if he won't admit it.

30. Pomp Fiction The greasiest comic on the web! I find it entertaining and inspiring on multiple levels.

I've always thought APC are better than Tool.

Me too. There seems to be a lot more emotion in the music of APC, and the lighter tone really helps it out.
