Stheno’s gods-given ability was similar but not the same as the curse Athena had placed upon her mortal sister, Medousa. Her gaze petrified living flesh, but she could control how swiftly it happened.

And she enjoyed Wonder Woman’s growing realization she was doomed.

Stheno had had stripped her of all but the barest bits of her armor; leaving just enough that others would recognize the doomed Amazon. Teasing touches of her fingers and tongue hardened Wonder Woman’s nipples and coaxed her into a state of unwilling arousal before most of her body had been transformed into beautiful marble and she carefully posed Wonder Woman into the pose she wouid have for eternity.

Only then did Stheno allow the transformation to complete and turn the gods’ own champion of Truth into cold, unfeeling stone.

Part of her wanted to take a hammer to the petrified figure and smash it to gravel. It would be a fitting end for her, no doubt, and would please her sister’s spirit. Still, she had made s beautiful statue and the world could use more beauty; even if that beauty was in a private gallery few would ever see.

She took a cellular phone from a purse, dialed.

”Hello, Mercy? It’s Stheno. I have a little something you might appreciate. When might we meet? Yes, yes… I know the location. I can be there in…is give days okay? Thst eill give me time to get it crated up. I’ll see you there.”
