Description
Jellyfish Made from a foam thing that held an Asian pear, and a plastic bag. I wanted to make a "bloom" of jellyfish to hang in my kitchen skylight, but now I can't find more of those foamy things.*edit* after a little searching online , I find these are called "Fruit wrapper trays" and the minimum order seems to be 1500 of them, at a cost of over $300, shipped from China. Pity.
On to modifying pop bottles, or other garbage!!

In the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago they made jellies out of old pop bottles.

They did a really good job, I couldn't tell until I read on the wall what they were made of.

I have been trying to find an image online of these pop bottle jellyfish from the Shed Aquarium, but haven't found any... do you know of any images?

I can't seam to find them, but the cut the tops of the bottle off, then cut it in strips vertically to make the tentacles. They messed around with the strips to make the jellies tentacles point different ways, and I think they either paint the top of the battle with tissue or painted it white.
I could try to make one if that would help?

It's amazing the kind of things you can make with stuff people consider garbage. I am really amazed at how well done this jellyfish is even though it is made from materials that would otherwise be thrown out without much thought.

No reason to eat them except for the wrappers! They taste kinda yuck.

That's really creative! If you found the pear foamy things in the supermarket, you might want to try other supermarkets. I know around where I live, the more specialty supermarkets always have their apples and pears in those foamy things.
