It is odd, I swear that these photos we've been putting on ebay make the upper part of the creature look too big.. I can't figure out if it is just me, or the camera we use is really distorting the image.That unicorn's legs aren't really that short!

haha! I never even noticed till you pointed it out! He does look a lil squatty in the hind end, maybe if Pam (I'm assuming Pam photographed this?) is using a wide angle lens or something.. I've gotten some odd ball lens distortion with a semi-wide angled lens.. or it could be angle? Or we're looking at it a lil too critically, lol! That's always an option

She always insists that there is no distortion... I dunno...almost all the ebay images look a little top-heavy to me.

If they're looking top heavy there is a chance there is a slight angle that's adding to the effect... if shes up on it more and looking down that'll change the way the piece looks than if she shot level with the piece.. only prob there is things like the mother dragon (I was just recently taking a photo of my BVP Mother to show friends) if getting straight on like that, you miss some of the details... but with a Grand Uni, I imagine it wouldn't hurt any taking it level with the piece... I dunno, personal experience with photographing things, the slightest angle can make the biggest difference and you really gotta be conscious of what you're looking for to really catch catch it.. 'n sometimes the best photographers will still miss little things, lol

It's beautiful, the okapi was one of my favorite animals when I was a kid. (Of course now I'm imagining a more okapi shaped unicorn, might be more like an african cousin to the kirin...)
