Description
Eh, I don't like the layout of this page. Maybe I'll change it. The bottom is kinda weird. The middle needs to be lined up with the rest of the rectangles, or the people in the bottom right corner need to be in a rectangle to match the left hand bottom one, or maybe I'll leave it as it is. Its been a long day.Β Art tip for those of you drawing graphic novels: Don't do a background made of rocks. Takes forever to draw.
Β So, out of desperation I ended up clone stamping it -and it looks awful.

You should know that an uneven and more creative panel layout is most often Better! boring regular panels are more boring. the layout is great this way. Having the panels be less even emphasizes the turmoil and action where as even rectangular and more square panels emphasize normality and calmness. I've found! I also need to mention clever use of angular (triangle like) tilted angles and panels emphasized action, conflict and disorder, and is a clever option. Remember not to use them when it is a calm, more normal moment in the story however as the paneling and angles will ruin the calm moments if misused. (Among many others I recommend studying Tite Kubo and the Bleach manga, for excellent paneling and angle decisions, particularly for action and fight scenes!) even if the story is not your favourite the paneling and art are excellent! Theres many great reasons to study manga to learn new paneling and layout techniques! Always remember to flip the action to the english way when applying any layouts and tips to your own work as Manga read the Japanese way is Right to left!

Those are scatterbats. They freak out when there's drama.

Uh, is it me, or does Mr. Demon have something in his mouth Β that looks suspiciously like Podge's butt in Panel 6?

You mean like this?
Okay, so that's not as small as Tephra used (there's probably millions of ways to pull that off), but try typing like this for the "sub" (subscript) tag.
Or like this to get a different font size.
Supposed to be able to use a "font size" tag, but that doesn't seem to be working for me right now. (Correction Apparently the "font" tag only works in profiles and the like, not in comments. Oh, well.
)
Or even try multiple sub tags or something.
Maybe like this?

Maybe put a background splash of color with the people in the bottom right? Try to tie it together. Usually when there's an unboxed panel there's some background spillover.

Β Oh yeah!
Β This is kinda accidental. I often just can't cram a whole event onto one page, so it gets left off in the middle. I am really learning as I go.
Β Now I like doing it.
Β When it is in book format it won't be such a cliff hanger, obviously, but as a web comic, it really drags on!
