Description
This is my part of an ART TRADE with Matt Valkyrie.After a long time of correcting class tests and hard work I can finally present a new artwork... and it's a sexy lion in a speedo this time!
Oh, by the way... this is my very FIRST anthro lion! And I'm quite happy with the result. Hopefully, you'll enjoy him, too.

your first one? Dear lord, this is the definition of golden boy. this is great work. he's porportionate with spot on shading and you can feel the relaxed sexuality just oozing from the pic.

When it comes to anthros, I am (and have always been) the "Dragon-Lizard-Reptile" type. I don't really like "dog anthros" (though there are many different forms)... or bulls. But as a matter of fact, I WILL draw a dog anthro soon (Dalmatian).
So you see... I may have my personal favourites, BUT I also enjoy every challange and there is nothing I wouldn't at least try. Sure, I have my limits, too... but I usually give it a try before declining.
About the relaxation part.... OH YES!
And here in Germany it has been a lousy summer!!!
So I have to sunbathe... in my artworks.

Em, so anyway - pose it perfect like always, same with anathomy, but picture is too small to see all the fur shades in some places that I can see you did, but it is still fine ^.-.^

Very nice, though I'm unsure how one would go about tattooing a lion; would you see that below the fur? because simply coloring the fur would grow out... never mind, it's a nice piece of art.
He has quite a long tail.

As a matter of fact, these tattoos... or markings... are a part of the fur texture. Just like the stripes of a tiger, ya know?
I could've drawn the tattoo in a more... "brush like" way so you see it is painted ON the fur.Β Β XD
Anyway, lions have very short hair and I think a tattoo on the skin/fur would also be visible quite well.
AND in the end... it's not my character, I just followed the character sheet provided to me. ^^"
Though... now you mentioned it... I think it's not really a tattoo but a marking like tiger stripes.
Yep, the long tail is also a part of the character's details. ^^

Oh, and... I suppose there is no reason a straight guy cannot appreciate the artwork, either. ^^Β Technically, it's not a "gay artwork"... I simply like to present well defined bodies in (I admit that) suggesive, sexy positions. Anyway, this character is merely sunbathing... and I agree that everyone can appreciate the drawing. No matter the orientation!Β Β
