Painting can be a lot of fun.. if also incredibly difficult.*(when limited to using a mouse, rather than a wacom).
The top half I created the orbs using Norasuko's color theory,
while the bottom image is a duplicate of my orbs, that have a
number of blur/burn photoshop filters applied to it.
Curious, which one do you think stands out more?
and which one looks "better"?

What type of brushes did you use? Just curious as I've been wanting to get into coloring and I too have been going through Norasukos old tutorials.

In all honesty, since I was limited to using a mouse.. I just used the
marquee selection tool to create circle shapes and then used some
blur filters/masks on each of the shapes to achieve the final results.
*You can see the "non-filtered" (original) shapes, in the bottom-right
of each image set (the blue shapes/circles).
