I just wanna say something more than "cool design!"?? sorry if it sounds like I'm sucking up to you or something because I realize a lot of artists don't like that but yOU NEED MORE LOVE AND DESERVE TO KNOW WHY PEOPLE LOVE YOUR DESIGNS SO MUCH????
let me just say that I love how you draw everything! it really looks as if you really enjoy drawing, like the expressions and just curves and shapes and everything. I think the charming points (?) you want to show to other people really show through your artwork that way?? like when an animal artist thinks paws are charming, they know how to make them look even more charming through their art? kinda like that fhisak I suck at english help

I can tell you had total fun with him, and with his extra art work!! you did not do this because you thought "oh heheh I might get some extra $$$$ with this" it looks like you just did it out of fun!! and I really really admire that. I think that's really something artists shouldn't forget! I totally forgot doing that years ago, but seeing your art makes me wanna try enjoying art again ;o;
I love how simple most of your designs are but are so so unique. I think it takes a whole lot of skill to make something simple yet unique, and you manage to do that every time oh man. all of them look really really fun to draw and just lURES EVERYONE IN LIKE OH COME DRAW ME BECAUSE I AM BEAUTIFUL!!

I honestly don't see how people don't see how this isn't worth $300+? tbh if you work and you save up a bit you'd get that much pretty easily. dA is just a cheaaap ass I guess and people have very very high demands for cheap prices. I honestly thought "OH YEAH GO YOU!!" when I saw the $680 (very disappointed to see it was just a fake though waahh). I hope you don't let those comments get to you, I doubt you will because you're smart and you know your own worth I tHINK and lots of other people do too!!

Not to be a stinker, but I don't think it makes since to call people out on not realizing why $300 for a character design--just that-- isn't too much. I think kuddos for this artist for being able to pull that off but most people have to worry about paying for school or rent and can be appalled that spending $300 on a character design is ridiculous. I'm just here as a defendant for them because I think that their side is still rather reasonable given most people's financial situations. I bet you every single one of these bidders parents would strangle them if they saw what they bid.

I just mean that doesn't give people a reason to bash an artist or whoever is buying the adoptable... just because it's expensive in someone's standards. I've seen some pretty rude comments going around in the adoptable community.

I wouldn't be like bitter toward someone because they managed to sell an adoptable for a trillion dollars but I can see how it's fatiguing for some to see.
To be honest it just goes back down to the simple question of the value of art, it's always going to be a luxury anyway, regardless of who you're buying it from.

yeah, it's definately worth the money, I guess the reason people don't see it as worth it, is because they're so used to seeing internet/DA prices instead of real world prices. Just look at the restriction DA's commission widget has, $40 is all you get (well actually you'd get a little less because it's closer to 82.something points to one dollar plus the 20% taken away by DA)

I had no idea that the restriction for the commission widget is $40 though... that's really stupid. especially if dA really wants to say that they support artists, and for them to get jobs. I can say outside of dA, artists would definitely get 4+ times the amount they get here. it's really upsetting.
