Description
Sherry was used to being alone.For as long as she could remember, she had always been by herself. Her mother often told her how "self-sufficient" she was, which sounded to Sherry as though she was quite proud of the way that she could cook and clean and take after herself, unlike most other girls her age. But even though Sherry was used to being alone, it didn't mean that she liked it.
Sherry didn't like it at all. In fact, she really sort of hated it.
But her parents were busy people, doing important research for an important company. Even though she was only twelve, Sherry could understand the weight and impact of having a job like that. And so she didn't complain, even when she was the only one at school who's father never showed up for career day. Even when she had to make her birthday cakes on her own, and celebrate her special day by herself. She didn't ever ask for more time with them either, because she knew that she would only be a bother if she got in their way. So rather the girl suffered quietly, always, always alone.
Now it was worse than ever though; Sherry was unaware of the particulars, but something had happened with her parents research. Something bad. Frightened, her mother had called and told her to go and wait at the police station, and that she would come for her as soon as she could. Sherry didn't like the sound of that at all. She liked the Chief of police even less. Sometimes her mommy had to do work for her daddy with the Cheif, since her daddy was never home. She was his "contact", whatever that was. All Sherry knew was that she didn't like the way that that man's eyes snaked over her mother's body, or her even own.
Sherry may have been young, but she was old enough to know that Brian Irons was a VERY bad man. She had tried her best to stay away from him while there at the station.
As she kicked her legs slowly, trying to pass the time, Sherry began to twiddle with the golden-coloured locket that her mother had given to her just earlier that week. Sherry never got presents just because, and Annette had told her that it was something very special, and to take good care of it. She had told her to never ever take it off or loose it, because it was a good-luck charm that would keep her safe at all times.
The young miss Birkin smiled then, remembering her own words;
"I wont."
It was a simple promise, but it had made Her mother happy to hear, and at the expression of relief and pride that had crossed her Mommy's face, Sherry didn't mean to loose her pendant for the world.
Thinking about the way that her Mother had beamed at her made Sherry wonder if maybe when she finally came to get her, if both she and her Daddy would finally be able to realize how important they all were to each other, and they could start acting like a real family together.
She knew that it wasn't likely, but the pendant was for good luck after all, and she could always dream, dream and hope that some day she wouldn't be quite so lonely. And thinking about that was just about all she could do to keep from noticing just how loudly her stomach was growling.

TToTT SHERRY!! *clings to her adorable little face*
For those of you who don't know, I absolutely adore Sherry. I don't draw her that often (because I can't draw children D: ), but when I do I'm usually gushing pure love. Oh I can't tell you how much I love her and how much I pity her character.
Sherry's such a sad, sweet girl, and so when I got the word "Alone" as my prompt for number 99, I couldn't think to do anyone else. It just seemed so bitterly appropriate.
I hope to draw Sherry again sometime soon since I'm sure that I didn't do her justice. e__e;; I guess we'll see what comes up later in my list. XD;;
Sucky background again is full of suck. She's supposed to be on a bench at the R.P.D. precinct. e3e;; those chairs are always so uncomfortable.
most of this was for lighting practice.
Hope you guys enjoy~!♥

This pretty much sums up poor Sherry Birkin's day before Leon and Claire stepped in and took her away from Raccoon City's horrors.

I really want them to put sherry back somehow or at least tell us what happened to her after the epilogue of RE2

Well, in Wesker's Report (I) Wesker himself makes mention that he had Sherry in his custody. As to how that happened has been entirely up to fan speculation for years. But things have been revamped thanks to RE5/RE: DSC; in DSC it was stated that Sherry is instead in the custody of the US Government - she is being held hostage so as to blackmail Leon into working for them; their protection in trade for his services as a US agent. So as far as 2010,that's what's happened to her after the epilogue.

Hmm, Yeah, I played Darkside and saw that scene but I just wish that they could shed some light on certain characters, I hate feeling like I'm left out in the dark about what happened.

Oh well......Yeah, I guess it's not like they can just continually make games and such to just clear up every single characters story. They have to keep going with the most known characters stories.

Eh, my assessment may sound harsh, but I know what kind of things I like and what things I don't like long before it ever hits the shelf. I just know myself that well; I know what I enjoy. And IMO the game just sounds like crap. But you're welcome to your own opinions. C:

She wont be alone forever though. She has uncle Albert to whisk her away and make things all better, right? oh, wait-- xD;;
Sometimes I like to imagine that she had a happy life somewhere with adoptive parents, after Raccoon City. Maybe family on Annette's side. But at the same time I really like to imagine her raised by Wesker. She would have become a very twisted individual indeed. eue;;

Yeah... Maybe she should stay with Claire for a bit. Uncle Albert is kinda....
I'd love it if she got adopted by a really nice couple. She needs someone warm and loving to look after her, she deserves it. At the same time, as well, I'm one of those fans who thinks Birkin made Wesker Sherry's uncle (like her was there to visit her after she was born and she's the only child in the world Wesker would ever care about, that kinda thing). But yeah... very twisted.

XD she would have had such a loving home with Claire... but Claire was only 19 at the time. Hardly old enough to support herself and a 12-year-old little girl. Especially since she was just a college student herself.
I like to imagine that though she loved her very much, Claire knew the right thing to do was to hand her over to child services---and I find it amusing to think of if THAT is how Wesker took Sherry into his care; After looking up the next of kin (if William and Annette didn't have any close relatives) I could easily have seen William leaving Sherry in Wesker's care as her legal "god father". Rescued from one home without love and put into another. It's very twisted indeed.

True. It would have been nice if Shelly had gone with her, but there was no way Claire could have taken care of Shelly all by herself.
Wesker probably would have been the Godfather or Uncle figure in Shelly's life, though he wasn't around very much. Very twisted. Poor Shelly. I her so much.

Aw poor little Sherry! I wish she was my little sister, lol.
I really don't know to much about her since I haven't played RE2 yet. But I've been watching my Uncle play it and he's letting me borrow it ♥
My Uncle got to the part where to get to play as Sherry and the whole time he was playing her I was like "AWW LOOK AT HER! SHE'S SO CUTE."
But anyways, YOUR DRAWING IS FANTASTICAL. The lighting and the anatomy and everything is amazing
