I love the fact that you have his proportions correct. People keep drawing him like a human and he's built like a brick. Richard is the one with the elegant long legs and little body hair. Our beautiful Thorin is short, stocky, muscular as hell and completely desirable. This is a very nice piece of work.

Thank you! I love that Thorin (and all the dwarves, to a lesser or greater extent) are short, hairy bricks, and I try to keep that when I draw them! Really, I think I could have made him a bit MORE stocky, though it's hard to say, given how much clothing he normally has on. ...And possibly I just /want/ him to be a bit more stocky, haha.

Yeah, I never really gave them much thought - I could go add some in, but mostly the whole picture was just practice painting a figure, so ultimately I wasn't thinking as much as I could have about making it specifically Thorin beyond the hair and the face... NEXT TIME.
