Description
So...a random doodle that I did last weekend since we had no homework and I had no other activities other. My tablet wasn't working though, so I had to go with traditional.I only used a mechanical pencil, an eraser, and a reference.
It's actually supposed to have a bird, a river, and some other finishing touches, but I have no motivation, so yeah...I quit with it. Plus, it's horrible scanning, so it probably looks horrid.
Critiques are welcome, thanks for any favs.
Sort of reference...? [link]

Hello, Thank you for submitting to Critique Night. Here is your feedback from last night!
^Onlooker1234^ So cute! You did really well with the head and the body, but maybe it would help to do a leg and hair study (and I'm not talking waxing). Your light source and shadows make sense. I would also encourage you to try and shade it in or colour it. It works well for line art though
^candid-crocodiles^ I'm loving the theme of this image and the freedom it expresses. The mountains are very realistic and the horse looks very fuzzy and cute hehe XD. I feel that the head of the horse is slightly out of proportion from the body- the rule of thumb is usually like two and a half to three heads is the length of a body (I read this somewhere- I'll do some research and give you the source). I love the body though! The anatomy is beautiful
^Little-Hercy^ i really like the heard; you did a great job there. The neck looks a little long. Because its twisted it doesnβt look that bad but when you straighten it out it will be a little long. i love the mountain in the background!! But the foreground of this picture.. Is a little unclear to me. The shadowing is very nice and it has a clear light source. Well done with this picture
^Oasispegasus^ The head especially is really interesting to me. There is an almost serene feeling to this horse, very little detailing, but that makes the head really stand out to me, if that was drawn much bigger with the mane finishing the neck off, i'd love that as a print. The conformation of the hind legs and shoulders isnt quite spot on, however i can see just being a sketch, there is room to improve on that. Maybe ink would interest you? Cross hatching the background can be a simple but effective way of deepening out a piece

Oh thank you! [May I call you Peg or something the like?] I will make sure to pay attention to these points next time I do something similar.
