Charlotte didn't originally from the americas but was born and lived the first little bit of her life in germany the homeland of her species. But before the first world war her family moved overseas to the United States for blending in better within human sociality, and because of this shift in eviroment Charlotte's appearance ended up looking much more human-like than the other older members of her family. For a good while Charlotte's family had been doing well blending into human soicalty even starting a jewerly business that at the time was quite successful, however after the first world war and the great depression hit the family business went bankrupt.
Her family faded into obsurity they all spreading out far across the country and once Charlotte was old enough she did the same and went on her own. time passed and Charlotte got along just fine, she knew she was pretty and often used it to her benefit and for most of her time she worked as a model, reseptionist, brothel girl, a spicy accountant, even just getting the right sugar daddy from time to time.
