This is a very beautiful tradition, I see great symbolism in it. Native Americans are very hospitable people, but in the past the palefaces very often used it and deceived them. Anyway I see it in movies

I'm glad you understand the difference between stereotypes and culture. A lot of people don't in the place I am. I'm moving, but it's a Native state, but most of the Natives I talk to don't go out. We're not popular here, go figure!
I must say, I respect the way you view my heritage. It's rare, but to understand culture means you understand people! It's a beautiful thing!

Of course I'm understand the difference. Do you know what American westerns and Red westerns (Ostern) are absolutely different. In Red westerns the Native Americans are always good guys and heroes. I watched a lot of these movies. Also during the Soviet era the theme of Native American was very popular here. Maybe it was a political thing, but I remember only a positive image/opinion.
