Description Just testing out Aeon--Soul 's new AlphaKini and trying to get better at Daz Studio.

I liked this despite the awful noise levels. Hope you do too.

I wouldn't be too fussed about the noise. Don't forget that original film photography and even digital photography is grainy to some extent. It looks natural. But most renderers behave the same way. If you want to have really sharp renders you need to cook it for much longer like Minty says, or shine really bright spotlights on the subject. Direct light is easier for the renderer to calculate than indirect light reflecting off ambient surfaces. Its the same with real photography that photos become grainier the more the scene is lit by ambient lights (thus also darker).

Couple of tips for reducing the noise level, which you may or may not know about..

In the iRay renderer, which it looks like you're using, try upping the completion-time setting thingy (can't remember the name of the specific setting) It's default is WAY too low, set it at an hour or so, and just let it run till it's looking good. You don't need to let it run the full timer, you can cancel earlier and still keep the pic.

The second you probably know about already: Render at double the size you want the final image to be at, then use gimp or whatever to resize the image down. Nice and simple, sharpens the image without having to wait the extra render-cycles. Of course, that method's a bit lossy, depending on how you resize it.

Love the image though, keep up the excellent work.

Thank you very much, glad you like the image

Thanks for the advice too. I never thought of rendering bigger and I will check the completion time setting too Much appreciated.
