The color and contrast are in good balance. However, the subject is not in focus which takes away from the beauty of the shot. The focal point is centered on the stick rather than the Damselfly. Dragons and Damsels are some of my favorite subjects to shoot and I understand the challenges they present when photographing them. Generally, you get better results when focusing on the eye or the abdomen. You will still keep the bokeh where you want it and end up with a really sharp subject. I would call this an artsy picture with good use of the threes and an almost surreal look. All in All I like the shot for its overall impact.

In my experience, I've learned to focus just in front of the wings to get the best overall results. Shooting with a macro lens takes a little practice, but I'm sure youy'll get the3 hang of it soon. Keep up the good work.
