Description
Finally finished ~ridi 's commission! This is her laurel sphinx moth character, Conrad. He was a lot of fun to make! An interesting change from the usual mammalian characters. ;3Handsewn from fleece, as always. He stands on his own with the help of armature wire in his legs (it's also what holds his antennae up). 9 inches tall, 9.5 inch wingspan.
Commissions for these will open again fairly soon!

Oh wow this looks really neat. You dont see too many buggy plushies out there. I love how you did the mouth and the patterns in the back.
Great job!

Thank you! The stripes weren't hard at all, just time-consuming. Everyone seems to like them though so I'm glad I took the time to sew them on individually.
...Okay, I glued the ones on his wings cause they're so thin. But the rest are sewn.

I'm really glad you like him! It always flatters me when people compare me to "professional" plush artists. n_n; I don't think I'm quite at that level yet (pattern-wise, I've still got a lot to learn and try out), but I appreciate the encouragement. Thank you for commissioning me!

Thanks Kitsu! Small details are actually easier for me. Could be partially cause I'm near-sighted (I think that's the correct term?) so it's easier for me to hold something an inch away from my eyes and create it on a small scale like that, rather than far away and seeing it as a whole. I'm glad I'm able to use that in a way that makes it seem more like a skill than a handicap. XD

You're welcome! Yeah, I'm near-sighted too It's great that you use that as a strength, I don't know many people that can make this sort of stuff so well. Your skill still amazes me
