it's not even my real name anyway haha XD my real thai name is kind of hard for foreigners to pronounce right (you can give it a try though! it's Kaikaew: kai-keo. evil chuckles heuhuheu oh i wish i can hear you say it XD) A friend of mine called me Kali when I first joined dA and my user name was kkali1503 - back then I didn't even know Kali is an actual name lol but apparently it is - and it kinda stuck. Anyway, I always pronounce it KA-li so I guess it's.. the right.. way?

Omg okay I was wondering about that bc I wasn't sure if Kali had any Thai origins- I know it is an Indian name though. I thought it was KA-li and then in Teen Wolf they were all saying Ka-LI and I was like gdi. It probably depends, because when I looked it up, I did see KA-li.

Kai would be an easy and logical shortening of Kaikaew : o Omg I mean I wouldn't be able to say it without hearing it first, I'm sure. But I'm actually not bad at adapting to foreign pronunciations. : D
Damn well normally I like calling people by their real names (I at the very least never call anyone by their user name so I wouldn't be over here calling you "reubelyn" lol) but it also depends on what I know them as first, and now I've known you as Kali. xD So I guess I'm stuck.

Was going to say that I actually prefer Kali to my real name XD Much simpler to read and spell! And I don't care much what you call me as long as we keep doing these fun conversations that almost always turn into forum threads XD Seriously, they are the best lol

Oh okay well Kali is good then!! : D Also okay this is randomish (not really idk) but I always think about how, on the internet I meet quite a few foreign people where their country isn't English-speaking (not as the first language at least) but they're always so good at English- and I know English is the universal business language and it's taught in many countries but still omg howww. Like, I wish languages were taught more heavily in the US. I wish I was bilingual. ;-;

Well, we're pretty crazy about learning stuff in English and 'going international' over here, sometimes a bit too much. Like, even kindergartens have special english programs where native english speakers teach them stuff - which I think is ridiculous. I'm sure they have this kind of stuff in other countries as well x3

AWH HUNNNN. It's not too late to learn a new language! Spend a lot of time with it, learn from songs and movies, listen to people talk - stuff like that That's how I learned most of the English I know today anyway! But I sort of get how you feel girl ;;_;; well think of it this way - I'm bilingual but I can't pick what classes I take, and Drama class is nonexistent here also (I really, really want to study acting and be more confident in front of people ;u; ). You can't have everything at once, I guess?

Ahhh yeah I took 5 years of Spanish in school but that doesn't mean I'm good at all omg. ;_; I can comprehend a lot better than I can actually use the language ofc- comprehension through reading/listening is always going to be easier than writing/speaking.

Haha yeah xD Well i did try to get people to call me Kai bc it's the most logical way to shorten my name like you said. But my friend Marissa saw my old username and called me Kali on an online movie marathon session with other people. So from then most people just called me Kali, and after a while I figured it's a nice enough sounding name and stuck with it

Don't worry xD After two years it's like another real name for me now, only it's reserved for just my internet social life?? It's kind of hard to explain xD I do have a sort of personal connection to it and react to
