Well, my dad's a neurologist and I'm just going to say this piece seems to describe my dad's occupation perfectly; the translucent strands that seem to come out of the clear box are like thoughts in the mind.
My dad works a lot with crazy people; the jumble of strings could represent that too.

The green object is what makes this image for me, you've placed a transparent, geometrical light source in the middle of all of those living organic shapes and it makes all of the contrasts in transparency and shape leap out. Very nice.
