ok well it's been a while since i downloaded it and I got a free trial thing so I can try it out. WHen I open up the file (after extracting it) I can only see the pictures and not the words for the tut. I opened it up fine last time but I can't remember how. any ideas what I should do? thank you for your time.

6. Invert the edges layer by pressing control + I, desaturate (image>>adjustment>>desaturate) and set blending mode to Screen
where would I find blending mode?.

the blending mode is located in the layer palette (bottom right of the screen) in the drop down list - it probably says Normal at the moment
