Description
So would you play this? hahaha. I WOULD.~MagnaIcona and I had an incredibly brief discussion about a fighting game made from the #One-Last-Dream-OCT and that apparently sowed the seed that sprouted this...thing lol.
I've also prepared a Massive Wall of Text detailing things that I think would be in 1LD-EX Omega Symphony of the Flying Shark Lazer. (it's a title in progress really, what can I say?)

Modes of Play
Story Mode
Select your character and fight through Dream Realm. Each Character has a unique storyline. Beating this mode on different difficulty settings will reveal more of the narrative and unlock other characters for play. Beat this mode with every character on the hardest settings to see the true ending!
Arcade Mode
A standard arcade mode, Beat a predetermined number of randomized opponents based on difficulty setting. Playing this mode unlocks loads of fun secret stuff, like character bios, alternate outfits, game art, stages, and bonus soundtracks.
Time Attack Mode
Race through 30 matches and defeat your foes as fast as possible! Be warned however, they become significantly stronger the closer you get to the end!
Score Attack Mode
Complete a series of challenges and obstacles as they come to increase your score, pick up various score multipliers and avoid getting hit and go for the highest number you can think of!
Gauntlet Arena Mode
Face an infinite number of matches, the only limit here is how long your health lasts. Be warned that it doesn't regenerate after a fight and the Foes become stronger with every match up.
Versus
Fight a friend or the computer in a pitched battle!
Training
Hone your skills and master combos.
Online
Show those scrubs out on the interwebs who the real top dog is!
Difficulty Settings
Beginner Mode
- You're totally new or totally bad at fighting games. (Good for learning)
Easy Mode
- You've know enough to put up a fight. (Good for getting your feet wet)
Normal Mode
- You've been around the block with this stuff before. (Also serves to unlock most of the storyline)
Hard Mode
- You like a challenge. (Also Serves to unlock the entire storyline)
Nightmare Mode
- you're a cocky bastard that will soon be put in your place. Unlocked by beating the Story mode with all non boss characters on at least normal setting. (Serves as a source of bragging rights and a few hidden surprises. Will also counts as Hard mode for the purpose of unlocking story fragments).

Imogen, Katten, Erian, Pellets, Ivory- all unlocked at start

Zulani, Harmony, RANDOM, Mahine, Akuma- all unlocked at start

-Complete the Story Mode with any character on Normal setting or Higher
Yota- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Akuma on Normal setting or Higher
Valkenskyre- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode on with any Character on Hard setting
Sharkie- Secrect Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Zulani on normal setting or higher
Natasha- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Grin and Ivory on any difficulty setting

Strawberry- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Harmony, Reaver, and Mahina on any difficulty setting
-Get a score of at least 20,000 in the Score Attack Mode
Sydney- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Harmony, Imogen, and Katten on the Hard setting
-Survive 10 matches in the Gauntlet Arena Mode
Veronica- Secret Character
-Complete the Story Mode with Grin and Zoe on any diffculty setting.
-Complete the Time Attack mode with any character in under 30 minutes.
-Survive 20 Matches in the Gauntlet Arena Mode
Drake- Secret Character
-Unlock all modes of Play
Kipp- Secret Character
-Get a score of at least 500,000 in the Score Attack Mode using Pierce
-Complete the Time Attack Mode using Karoline in under 20 minutes
-Complete the Story Mode with 937 on Hard difficulty
Group row
Ingram and Lug- Secret Characters
-Complete the Story Mode with 937, Grin, Reaver, Karoline, and Pierce on Hard difficulty.
-Get a score of at least 250,000 in the Score Attack Mode with any character.
-Survive 30 matches in the Gauntlet Arena Mode.
Zoe and Bots- Unlocked at start
Wash and Maphee- Secret Characters
-Complete the story mode with any character on any difficulty setting.
-Complete the Time Attack Mode using Zoe, Harmony, or Reaver in under an hour.
Nightmare Boss Row
Apaco- Secret Boss Character
-Get the True Ending by beating the Story mode on Hard difficulty setting with all other non-boss characters.
-Get a score of 1,000,000 points in the Score Attack MOde on Any character
-Complete the Story Mode without continuing using Reaver on Nightmare Mode difficulty setting.
-Obtain at least 80% of the Arcade Mode's secret prizes.
-Defeat the resulting Challenger...if you can.
Myzaraphiston- Secret Boss Character
-Get the True Ending by beating the Story mode on Hard difficulty setting with all other non-boss characters.
-Get a score of 1,000,000 points in the Score Attack MOde on Any character
-Complete the Story Mode without continuing using Grin on Nightmare Mode difficulty setting.
-Complete the Time Attack Mode in under 5 minutes using any character.
-Defeat the resulting Challenger...if you can.
Yadra Cindrillon- Secret Boss Character
-Get the True Ending by beating the Story mode on Hard difficulty setting with all other non-boss characters.
-Get a score of 1,000,000 points in the Score Attack MOde on Any character
-Complete the Story Mode without continuing using Ingram on Nightmare Mode Difficulty setting.
-Surive 100 matches in the Gauntlet Arena Mode.
-Defeat the resulting Challenger...if you can.
ACHEEVOS- because everyone needs digital merit badges to make themselves feel better.
Final Awakening- Obtain the True Ending.
So you think you're pretty good then?- Beat the game with all non-boss Characters on at least normal mode setting.
-Unlock Nightmare Mode difficulty setting.
King of the Dream Realm!- Win an online tournament of any size.
It's MISS FLUFF!- Obtain a Perfect Win while battling Pierce in a Hard Mode match using 937.
-Unlock 937's Broken Boundary mode.
It's MISS KITTY!- Obtain a Perfect win while battling 937 in a Hard Mode match using Pierce.
-Unlock Pierce's Broken Boundary mode.
Beat-Box-Battlemaster- Have every song in the OST loop twice in your matches while you are using Karoline.
-Unlock Karoline's Broken Boundary mode.
Multifunctional- Stay airbone for 30 seconds using Reaver's Flamethrower.
Unlock Reaver's Broken Boundary mode.
High Stakes- Win 10 matches in the Gauntlet Arena as Grin when your health is below 5% of it's maximum
-Unlock Grin's Broken Boundary mode.
Militant Precision- Obtain a 50 hit combo with Zoe without using her Bots.
Unlock Zoe and the Bots' Broken Boundary mode.
I could use a smoke after that...- Complete the Time Attack Mode in under 10 minutes with Katten.
-Unlock Katten's Broken Boundary mode.
Peerless- Win 50 matches with Valkenskyre against Hard mode difficulty opponents without your health dropping below 90%.
-Unlock Valkenskyre's Broken Boundary mode.
I Get Knocked Down...- In a single match, regenerate from 5% health back to full 5 times while using Pellets.
-Unlock Pellets' Broken Boundary mode.
Quacktastic!- Obtain a 50 hit or more combo using ONLY Kipp's Duck grenades.
-Unlock Kipp's Broken Boundary mode.
One. Very. Angry. Imp.- Defeat an opponent on Hard mode difficulty with Ingram without using any of Lug's attacks.
-Unlock Ingram and Lug's Broken Boundary mode.
Gotta be the Shoes- Complete the Time Attack mode in under 10 minutes using Ivory.
-Unlock Ivory's Broken Boundary Mode.
Doctor Mom- Beat an opponent to 1% health then heal them back up to full using Strawberry.
-Unlock Strawberry's Broken Boundary Mode.
Shark Week!- Play as Sharkie at least once a day for seven consecutive days.
-Unlock Sharkie's Broken Boundary Mode.
Sockbane- Shift into Demon Form a total of 500 times with Akuma.
-Unlock Akuma's Broken Boundary Mode.
Second-hand-Ass-kicking- Obtain a Perfect win while battling Katten in a Hard Mode match using Imogen.
-Unlock Imogen's Broken Boundary Mode.
Wet Floor- Successfully break 100 combos using Sydney's Water Torrent.
-Unlock Sydney's Broken Boundary Mode.
So...much...Crack!- Complete the optional side story "Crack Wars" and survive the horrors you find within.
-Unlock Crack section of the Game Art.
Incredibly Hard to get Acheevos (bragging rights are the only reward here.)
I can't feel my face...- While fighting Ingram, survive any hit from Lug while his Behemoth servos are active.
OOOOOH...Now I get it!- Learn something about Natasha.
Curtain Call of the Universe- Survive for 30 seconds against Broken boundary Mode Apaco on Nightmare difficulty setting.
Sans Malediction; Ill Advised.- Survive for 30 seconds against Broken Boundary Mode Myzaraphiston on Nightmare difficulty setting.
Stop, Drop, and DIE!- Survive for 30 seconds against Broken Boundary Mode Cindrillon on Nightmare difficulty setting.

wow, i'm not even in the OLD OCT but this is pure win... and an idea just stuck into my head... nah it would be impossable to gather all the rescorces... but if we could...........

i have a little of the knowlage on how to use a program called 2D Fighter Maker 2002, and i'm learning fast!
not sure if i could do the achevements... but, with sprites or similar of all the contestents and bosses...... and a little bit more learning on my part...... it could be done...................................
but i'll leave it up to you admins of course, it would require a lot of work, on everyones part.... but i'm willing to give it 1000% purely because, i think this game would be epic!

Hmm, well it was really determined by whoever had their mugshots done. since that's what i used to make the portraits. Though the people that are there definitely seem main character/cast ish. so it wall worked out!

Sorry to bug you again but...what exactly do the Broken Boundary Modes entail? I'm guessing like a Limit-Break or Final Smash type thing

It's kinda like a version of the character that is enhanced rather than a finishing move or ultimate attack. All Broken Boundaries let the characters hit harder, move faster, take less damage, and improve each character mechanic in some way shape or form.
While JEMkatanatina's meme has things in a super smash bros format, my original vision of this game was to be similar to blazblue, streetfighter, or mortal kombat format, with each character have some sort of unique mechanic that affects their playstyle.
For instance my idea for Grin was that his mechanic was something like Power from Pain, he becomes faster and deals more damaged based on how low his health is. (In otherwords he's weakest when he's at full health).
Grin's Broken Boundary mode would let him start off with a Power from Pain bonus as though he were at 50% health already without actually being low on health. This would stack with the rest of the Broken boundary benefits as well as grant him a total of a 149% damage bonus should he fall to 1% health in this mode.
Possibly confusing, but a fun thing to toy with I thought. Hope it helped!
