I am flattered!! that's the great thing about learning...is eventually I get better!! I have been using your little trick lately 'clipping a layer to a subject' to better match him/her to her surroundings. I can't do it exactly as you said but the idea is the same!! Thanks for the tip!! (I've used it on every piece since 'Resistance is Futile')

Every now and again I come across some great little keepers that get submitted to my subconscious instantly by practicing with  them until ingrained.
That particular one was a tutorial here on DA, there are some fab tuts about that can make such a difference.
Glad it was of use to you my friend. Sadly I am not forthcoming with any work of my own, each time I think I have it, It! eludes me once more.
Photo manipulation isn't what I am trying for it's the digital painting, but things just aren't melding the way I want at the moment.
It will come soon enough, I am sure.
