Gale has to conduct sales, manage the books, maintain compliance, do on-site decor for events, and make time to network and expand. While things became much easier after Rally joined her to split the workload, it's not uncommon for Gale to be at the store from early morning to late nights.When the monthly balloon competitions roll around however, Gale does typically make an effort to clean out and close the store early. It's a busy day and they can make a ton by selling to tourists interested in seeing what all the excitement for the games is about. They don't participate in the games- they doesn't have enough time to train to be competitive for it- but it's a good way to unwind and hang out with friends.
The nature of the contests vary every month, but there's always lots of balloons, bubbles, shells, and tons of confetti. But it's a raucous affair, so people with sensitive ears or easily startled may find it best to travel out of town on the day of.
