I got an interesting comment about my last post not being 'sleek like Legacy'.

Yes, that is the intent. This is all fanfiction based on a story that takes place after Legacy, on the main system (and not a self contained one like in Legacy), and is meant to be a bridge to the 82 story that was somewhat ignored and even contradicted in alot of the subsequent media after in the last few decades.

Rook isn't Sark, even though he looks like him.
Rook is the base program that in the 1982 flick would become the MCP. Rook is the 'chess program' that is referenced throughout the first film. Rook is an amalgamated program (hence why he doesn't look like Walter, he was built from different components of existing programs).

In the climax of the original film, the MCP gives his abilities, his powers, to Sark. Rook is this re-compiled program, the original chess program with the augmented abilities and permissions that were transferred to Sark.

Rook was brought up from the heap by the DAEMON, Escalt. The original premise of my little fanfaction was the programs saw the advent of AI on the horizon and the older programs saw them as inferior because they were being written to mirror an imperfect model (humans) vs absolute logic (computers). Escalt needs the 'rulebreaking' free-thinking of the MCP to track down the remnant code of Kevin Flynn to re-write the parameters of the system vast.

So, this is Rook in a quick run on Blender 3.1.
