Description In Turkey, the Eid al-Fitr (the three-day eid at the end of the month of Ramadan) is celebrated with visits to and from family and friends, and children go from door to door wishing Eid Mubarak and collecting treats.

Last year I had made a number of origami boxes, filled them with sweets and gave them to my little cousins. This year I decided to go with colorful swans. Not only do they carry their load gracefully, but children also love them. Folding origami with them is certainly a great way to keep a bunch of excited children quiet and happy for a while!

Eid Mubarak!

Thank you. Origami is like magic to kids, and it's amazing how quickly they learn the folds.
