Description This is how you go nuts:
1.) You develop a concept;
2.) You build on that concept;
3.) You find that only your organizational skills can match the concept;
4.) You find out that your artistic capabilities cannot adequately match the calibre of the concept;
5.) You go nuts.

This is an OC character concept for a project currently called 'Three Factions', inspired by all of the Anima-based art `Wen-M has been drawing, and also the Anima RPG itself (although the system is so freaking complicated we're just making a proper conversion to D&D 4E). This is a collaboration between *sarahbeara and myself - we've got a lot planned, but we're still working out the practicalities of what's going to happen.

The gist of 'Three Factions' is that there are three continent sized factions (made up of different countries uniting under one banner) warring with each other for resources (and sometimes, something far more powerful): The High Nations of Erideos, based on the Europe of the Medieval/Dark Ages, located to the west; The Empire of the Moon, a loose confederation of countries based on Japan/China/Korea/Asia Minor during the Medieval Age, located to the east; and The Free States, a megarepublic that has dropped all notion of religion to pursue science and technology, located to the north.

Yes, I know that together the cardinal directions spell W-E-N in that order, but that is purely coincidental.

Also, if you're interested, check out the character *sarahbeara made for this collab, Aaminah .

Anyhoo, here is the character summary:
Name: Ruel Castellan D'Angelo, Duke of Artanny
Age: 29
Rank: Cavalry commander of the vassal kingdom of Lefina
Alliances: Allied to the High Nations of Erideos (the Western Faction) / Allied to the Knights Occidental
Additional: A pragmatic follower of the Allfather
Attunement: Attuned closely to the power of lapis lazuli, used less for defense and more for summoning.

Would have been shown carrying his trademark weapon - a battle lance - if I had the time, energy, or artistic skill to draw a battle lance. Will switch to longsword during non-mounted encouters, no skill for that either. Loves horses, is a gifted equestrian and a well-known horse breeder throughout the High Nations. Usually never uses his attunement to lapis lazuli unless a dire situation occurs, at which point he uses them to summon winged creatures he prefers to call 'angels'.

Is normally a staunch supporter of the faith of the Allfather, although oppression and religious fanaticism by zealots (some of whom are contemporaries in the standing army) make him weary of the semantics of the Church.

(Footnote: No, I will not make any apologies for how crap it looks. Yes, I am trying a few new techniques, especially in colouring.)
