Please, oh PLEASE full view this! A download for the fullest size is the best, but I really worked hard on this and the full size is the best way to appreciate it ;_;

This picture was finished rather quickly but had a LOT of work put into it. In class Monday morning I started the head shot of Aranelion...finished it in thirty minutes. Drew the shot of Elianaron after class in about the same time. They were both drawn on SEPARATE sheets of *gulp* NOTEBOOK PAPER! O_o; I went ahead and inked and colored them, then lined up the pieces of notebook paper, cut off the excess, and taped them together at the seam. It appears just like this. I wanted to scan it and everything but couldn't stand the lines. That's where step two came into play.

After all that work, I taped it down to a piece of drawing paper, stuck a piece of graphite paper between them, and transferred the original outline onto the lineless drawing paper. After cleaning up those lines and inking them, I colored this once more and wound up with the finished product. Scanning it was a pain as well. So, after I'll say...umm, 4 total hours of coloring, (two for each draft), 2 hours of inking, (one for each draft), and 2 hours for the lineart, (again, one for each) here you have it.

Now can you see why I want you to download it? ^.^;

I'm pretty damn proud of this picture, and infact, it's going to be pivotal in a new three part series I'm writing. I know, shut up, I still have two fics to write. I'm working on them. Anyway, this three parter is almost a reverse you could say of "Our Parents" It's titled, "My Boys" and has Aerealei telling the story of her twin sons to a young couple, as they ride a train bound for Starshine Town, as she is visiting her sons for their 21st birthday. It'll be this picture that starts the story off.

"The three of us had to depend on each other quite a lot, even before their father died. To this day I still cannot understand why my kindred hated them so, for they were no different than the hedgehog children of the village, or even the echidna children on Angel Island. If anything they combined the best of their bloodlines, and yet for those who could not see this, my sons came to symbolize the downfall of their kind. In my heart, they were the symbol of my love for Armundae, and his for me, and they still mean the world to me."

Yeah, little preview from the story. Again, it's only a three parter...just like "Our Parents" was. I'll be getting up part one shortly
