This is part of an Art Trade with my awesome friend ~JiraachiStarThat's right, I might not have time for requests, but I love art trades ^^
Anyway, I asked for a picture of Halo and Zenith, and in return she asked for a picture of her characters Sara the Armadillo and Syna the Hedgehog...in my style XD
That's something I wanna say. Just because my art doesn't look fantastic like digital art doesn't mean I don't put my heart and soul into them, and I really tried hard with this one. She is a brilliant artist and I wanted to make it worth her time, I hope I did <3
I had fun doing an armadillo character for the first time! Syna could have come out way better I think. I like how Sara looks a lot more. The colors are kinda off on Syna, and the expression...I changed my mind on it as I was inking it. I was gonna make her wide eyed but changed my mind. She also looks shorter than Syna X3
However, I do love how Syna's hair looks. Shading with two different colored pencils combined with color saturation from the scanner program really hit that one out of the ballpark. It also saved Sara's hair, I think. The golden prisma pencil I use dulls out the inking so I have to go over it again after coloring. The scanner helped bring them out more.
I did my utmost best on this Amber. I really, really hope you like it. No rush on your end either, no worries <3 I had fun drawing Sara and Syna! ^^ If you want a copy of it for yourself, I can send you a link to a high quality jpeg version of it. ^^

I really like the colors, too! I know that it's hard to match up colors from a digital pic to a traditional pic, but I think you did a great job. ^^ I really do like Syna's colors- when I first looked at the pic, I was amazed at how close the colors resembled her colors in the reference pic, so I think that you did an amazing job! ^_^
I love their sweet expressions, and I really like how you added the sheer details on the lace trimming the top and bottom of Syna's outfit (most people neglect that

The sheer parts on Syna's outfit are actually a light lavender shade. I was amazed how well they gave off that sheer effect ^^
I had fun with the tiara. It was the first thing I drew I think, after I got the positions of the ears and everything. I love tiaras X3
