Oh Noes...not another series

Well, don't worry, this won't be nearly as big as the WoLaD picture series, or even the Wedding Series...think Character and Chao Series Reprise if you're wanting an estimation of size...maybe six or so pictures.

This picture and ones to come have WoLaD in mind however.

I want to draw the descendents of Arandor, (and Kashoku, seeing as Kashoku is Arandor in Echidna Form in WoLaD) that have importance to the WoLaD story. However this will go beyond the special "Four" (the Son, the Daughter, the Master of Time and Space, and the Master of the Elements) and the Brokenstar Twins, (who in a lot of ways are two of the most special of them seeing as they are the first to descend from both Arandor and Kashoku. (Long Story) Infact I plan to include Olermere and Feldmort, (their non-mutated forms mind you, they never become mutants in this story) the three descendents of Kashoku that fought the Battle for Power, and Hidama and Knuckles' parents.

Yep, that's what that poll of mine is all about. I am not using anything official in creating their parents. I don't read the comics and so I'd prefer to do my own rendition of their parents. Besides, I take everything official that I write about from the games, and the games and the comics are two different worlds. So you can look forward to that, even though their mother techinically didn't descend from Kashoku. I dunno if I'll redraw Armundae and Aerealei or not since I've drawn them for WoLaD...

lawl, don't you remember? I mentioned somewhere that Amy is not the only surviving descendent of Arandor's daughter Aurora. Aerealei is a descendent too, and because Armundae is a descendent of Kashoku, Aranelion and Elianaron are descended from both Arandor and Kashoku. Pretty cool eh? That's what makes them very special. Very special. Special enough to get the gears in Mukot's head turning as to how he can exploit them for his cause.

*giggles with glee* I'm so excited to get to start WoLaD

Anyway, so I'll draw three of the descendents at a time, (maybe four) and tell you a bit more about them.

Hidama is the first to be born that goes by the name "Child of Arandor" and also "Child of Kashoku" even though the echidnas called the Captains and Guardians collectively Children of Kashoku for centuries seeing as they are directly related to him. He is given that title by Shadow, who at this time has helped Kashkie grow up and mature into a young adult, and now moves to protect the Sons of Kashoku, being Hidama, Knuckles, and the Brokenstar Twins, while Kashkie travels to look after Amy and Jade.

Shadow is welcomed by the echidnas for he is wise in their ways and history. He keeps it hidden however that Kashoku was really the best friend of his youth, Arandor, for he knows the echidnas will consider this insulting to their beloved king. Shadow arrives after the birth of Hidama, and takes up living with the echidnas, a rare honor. He begins to bond with Armundae and Aerealei, now married and awaiting the birth of their twins, (although they're only expecting one). Exactly how he does I'll explain in the picture including the twins.

Hidama is born without an obvious Guardian mark, a tuft of white fur in the place of where one would be expected to grace his chest. Shadow explains that Hidama is still expected to be a Guardian however; he simply echoes the appearance of their King, Kashoku, in that Kashoku had no Guardian mark either. Infact, the Guardian mark did not start showing up until after the Battle for Power and the beginning of the House of the Captains.

Knuckles has this mark, but Shadow again counsels that these boys, and the Brokenstar Twins, are far more special and blessed than any can guess. He still refrains from explaining to the echidnas the truth, knowing they won't believe it, and having to do whatever he can to stay as close to the four boys as possible in order to protect them.

Jade is one year older than Knuckles, and three years older than Amy, (remember Amy is older in my series...get off me) so Kashkie has time to stay with the Spirit Island echidnas in the same way Shadow stays on Angel Island. While quite young, nineteen at the time, Kashkie is fully aware of what they are up against, and wise in his own way, his soul still containing fragments of knowledge and experiences from Arandor's life within it. However, like Shadow, he does not tell them what's really happening, knowing they won't understand. He also does not tell them he is the reincarnation of Arandor, and thus their king, Kashoku, knowing they'll accuse him of blasphemy, and might possibly kill him. He and Shadow have to do whatever they can to protect the children of Arandor, even if means most of the echidna race will die because they could not and would not heed warning.

However, Shadow decides to confide the truth in one echidna and his wife, Armundae and Aerealei. You should know Armundae's mentality by now...does this mean his free spirit will be open to believing Shadow's words? Does this mean he, Aerealei, and their twin boys can be saved?

I...love...WoLaD!

Anyway, I think they came out pretty well, even if I'm kinda mad at how Jade came out, and that the stupid colored pencil I use on their faces comes out looking uneven. Blah. Jade is probably standing a step ahead of them. Hidama is 20, Jade is 19, and Knuckles is 18.

So yeah, distant cousins here, all three of them, and the twins, the descendents of the leaders of the Battle for Power that split the tribe forever. Funny, the leaders were two brothers and a daughter too...one brother is the ancestor of Knuckles and Hidama, the other of Aranelion and Elianaron, and the daughter the ancestor of Jade.

Ah okay, enough talk. Enjoy the pic! As for when I'll officially start WoLaD...very soon! ^^ (More like, once I beat KH Re:CoM)
