"For those who take time to remember their past...good times and bad...and find happiness."

The moon rises…the stars come out and twinkle brightly in the sky…and just like these stars, impossible to count, so are my dreams of you…and my memories comfort me.

Memories of laughter…of tears…of pain…of fear…they all circle through my mind as I think of you.  I miss you terribly…and I stand alone in my room, staring at the silent stars, hoping somehow they might carry my love to you.  I wait for you to return, holding onto your words of love amidst my sadness…and my memories comfort me.

I cannot find peace in my daily life…all of the comings and goings of everyone around me only further my desire to see you.  You’re different from them…more loving and kind, and when you are not with me…I long only to be with you.  Whenever I see something that reminds me of you, my heart only longs for you more…and my memories comfort me.

I look out for your return every day as I try to live my life the best I can without you.  Yet life without you is empty…and things that once brought me joy, only remind me of you, another memory in my heart, a treasure chest of love for you…and I see your face in my mind, etched in my memory, as all the other things about you have been for so long…and my memories comfort me.

The thought of you makes my heart beat in earnest, and burns your name in my soul with the fire the sound of your voice awakens in me.  How much longer can I live without you I wonder?  It’s been too long already…and I need to feel your kiss…your arms around me, to make me whole again.  The thought of another day without you is too much to bear…as is the thought of all the days we’ve been apart already…and my memories comfort me.

Just when I think that I cannot continue, that is when I hear your voice…calling out my name…announcing your return.  We stand together, embracing each other affectionately, and our love for each other is shown.  I know that you’ve never left me, and you’ll always be in my heart…and this time, like all the others of our life together, becomes yet another memory, forever burned into my heart…to comfort me another day…
