A new character of mine!

Dawn Marie is a mortal girl that is chosen by the element of Resilience, when the original Guardian of it is killed during a battle with the corrupted Beledin. She is selected because she is the most suited for it, which means in her life she has had to be very...resilient!

She's 27 years old, and has had a hard time finding work, unable to keep a permanent job or home. She also suffers from chronic fatigue, so she gets tired easily and suffers muscle pains on occasion. She's somewhat frail, and can fall ill easily, but somehow manages to get back on her feet rather smoothly.

She is kidnapped by thugs, acting under Urlumin's orders. The kidnapping takes away what family she had left, but gives her amnesia, so she doesn't remember it. She discovers later, while she is held, that Zero infact gave her the amnesia. It works as a benefit, as she cannot have her past used against her, but Zero says to Amadi that her past would just make her stronger. His cleverness allows him to get away with it. By now, it's clear that waking up from the nightmare restored his powers of Absence, even if he no longer has the element, nor could he likely erase entire souls yet.

He goes to visit Dawn on occasion, not allowed to set her free or help her, but talks mostly about his family, which she can see he loves dearly. As the months roll by and the thugs seek to break her down, she proves Resilience chose a worthy home, as even after six months she has not broken, despite the torture she has endured. She is rescued by Zardaz, and a new ally called Yamata, or Orochi.

Now Dawn has taken up living with the other Guardians. Almost immediately she catches the attention of someone very special. She still has amnesia but, she's getting along well, recovering from her wounds, and obviously her story is still in progress <3

I love how this came out. I did the original full body one, then another picture of her bigger on the same page, only she didn't look identical to the full body despite me wanting her to. I copied the line art of the full body and made it bigger for the waist up shot, and also made that one transparent. I have to try and make the coloring as similar as possible which...is part of why I only shaded her eyes and face.

Now her eyes are unique, they've got little glowing purple dots in them, so it literally looks like she has stars in her eyes. That was an experiment and I'm very happy with her <3 When I was designing her I didn't want ears that stood up tall, but I didn't want another echidna looking character since I've done so many lately. Her ears lay down like Bianca's and Viviane's, but like Viviane I'm not sure exactly what she is. Neither of them are lambs like Bianca so, her species is just...special X3
