For anyone else who agrees with this message with both theirs, and their special one's hearts.
Valentine's Day is a holiday,
We do not celebrate here,
Simply because I'll love you the same,
No matter the day of the year.
I don't need flowers or jewelry,
To know that you love me so much,
All I need is the sound of your heartbeat,
And the warmth every time our lips touch.
Since when did we feel the need,
For one day to prove our love's strong?
Why can't we live happily knowing,
It's unbreakable all the year long.
You don't even need to tell me,
How you love me so,
Simply the way you hold me tonight,
Is enough for my heart to know.
So don't ever feel you need to tell me,
Of the love that's in your heart,
It's something I've known since that first glance,
Something I've known from our love's start.
I don't need Valentine's Day,
To know how much you love me,
I don't need an otherwise meaningless day,
To know that we're meant to be.
Valentine's Day is not a holiday,
At least not for us here,
For our love is something we celebrate,
Each and every day, all year.

Valentine's Day for me is more of a day to let everyone in your life know that you care about them, friends, family, and significant others. Instead it's just turned into a day where we feel guilted into buying stuff for people just to show them that we care about them. It's too commercial.

Good point. The day feels rather pointless to steady couples, but on the other hand it may offer the opportunity for some to establish a relationship. Valentine's Day holds no special meaning for me personally though.

See now that side of it I can understand, (which is why I mentioned some moments standing out from the rest) but I feel like it's becoming really commercial as well...like Christmas.
It's never held any meaning for me except getting candy when I was younger.
