Yep, I'm still alive...got some stuff to post before I check a crapload of messages and update my journal.

Anyway, I started this on New Year's Eve and finished it after the new year...since the sketch was done that night, I have dubbed it the last picture of 2007 and the first one of 2008 Who better to feature than the Brokenstar Twins and Camillia.

This picture takes us back to before Aranelion finally got his chance with Camillia. In the beginning of "Wandering to Love" Elianaron made his moves on Camillia, not wanting to take things slowly like Aranelion. And so Aranelion misses his chance, and for a long time he must sit back and watch the girl he loves and his dearly loved twin brother live out the romance he wanted for himself.

Still, he doesn't know that this relationship Ell and Camillia have isn't as deep as he thought, but even so, he sits back, watches him, and wonders, "What would have happened if I had just come right out and told her I loved her? If only I had gone ahead and said it." That's where the idea for this theme challenge picture came from.

It's actually a pretty upbeat song...not one of those sad, cry me a river, why didn't I say something before songs. I did my best to capture this idea with the picture, Aranelion watching helplessly from the counter as Elianaron and Camillia laugh and enjoy each other's company. I actually had a good time with this picture...it gave me the chance to practice poses, scenery, and coloring.

I hope I can get more of these theme challenge pics done There's still quite a ways to go!
