This is one song I wasn't sure I'd ever come up with a picture for, but when I was listening to it this afternoon, the picture immediately came to mind just as you see it here, and looking back now I wonder why I first thought I'd have trouble with it X3

Anyway, this is for a song called "Soldier" It's off of Hanson's album, 3 Car Garage, but is also one of very first songs they recorded on one of their two independent albums, "Boomerang" and "MMMbop" So it's a very old song of theirs. A cute one too.

Basically, it's the story of a solider with a missing leg, a toy soldier mind you, who loves a toy ballerina that also belongs to the little boy who owns them, (think Woody and Little Bo Peep from Toy Story) Anyway, the song explains itself. It's sung by Isaac and Zachary, who were 16 and 12 at the time. The child I mention in the song is pretty much asking questions when he speaks in the song, and I think it might be their little brother Mackenzie, who was 3 or 4 at the time.

*A little child says, "Can I hear the story about the one-legged soldier, please? Can you tell me the story of the soldier, please? One more time."*

Not so long ago in a toy room not so far away,

Yeah, it's a long song, a little over 6 minutes, but very cute ^^

Anyway, the picture for this song was a no brainer once the inspiration struck. It fits Aaron and me I think. I know I'm too shy to speak of love, at least to him. I don't know if it's the same for him or not, and it probably isn't, but I still think it fits us there.

And yes, the fact that Camillia has a golden heart locket and the ballerina has a heart of gold was just too good of a coincidence.

But, yeah, that's why "toy soldier" Aranelion is missing a leg. I'm actually kinda happy it isn't 100% accurate to me and Aaron...God knows he needs both of his legs. If a toy is missing a leg it's not so bad...if it's an actual person, not so much.

Still, it's sweet as part of the story because it makes the toy soldier a misfit and he feels no one cares about him, but then he finds the ballerina who turns out to care about him as much as he cares about her. Then, when she falls into the fire and he saves her, they're bonded together for life, and you know the boy cherishes them that much more now because of it.

Anyway, I had to look up a picture of toy soldiers for help on Aranelion, but I think he came out pretty good. Camillia was easier. I love her in blue, and it's also my favorite color, so that was another no brainer. The position of her right leg gave me trouble, but wasn't too tough.

And yeah, her base is supposed to look bigger than Aranelion's base. Even with both legs his pose wouldn't require as big of a stand as her pose does.

This was a fun picture to do. I credit ~hopelessromantic721 for helping me out with Camillia's tutu. You should see the frills, ribbons, and laces Val can draw...she's an awesome artist and writer. But yeah, I've always complimented her on her fancy dresses that she draws, and when it came time to draw Camillia's tutu Val was a big inspiration, so thanks Val ^^
