My final Christmas offering!

This pretty much goes along with the story, "The Gift of a Family" which features the family, since it's the only way they could be together in a Christmas picture, at least not while Amy is a child.

"The Gift of a Family" By: Jade Lightning, a.k.a. Inuyashas-hanyougirl Christmas 2010 It was a snowy December afternoon in Station Square. The streets were full of people and cars; vehicles crept along slowly, wary of potentially icy roads, while massive crowds filed up and down the sidewalks. There were only four days left until Christmas Day, and now that people were getting off from work and school for the holiday season, everyone took to the streets to finish up their Christmas shopping as quickly as they could, all of them trying to find the perfect gift that wou

That's the story. Amy is 8 years old in the story and by chance Cody finds her on the streets in Station Square, in tears after Sonic has rejected her attempts to find out what he wants for Christmas. After telling her he knows Kashkie, who is her guardian now, he spends the afternoon with her, taking her shopping to cheer her up.

It kills him that he can't tell her that he is her father, and it hurts even more because he worries she doesn't know that he and Brooke love her.

After showing that sadness, Amy tells him she asked Santa to find her parents and tell them that she loves them. This proves to Cody that not only does she love him and Brooke, but she knows that they love her in return.

Brooke manages to find them, and the family walks to the train station together where Kashkie is waiting to pick up Amy. Kashkie tells the guy at the ticket counter that nobody could ever split up the family, and that he was happy that Christmas gave them the gift of their family, one that they'll always have, even when they can't be together.

They'll always have the love and that short, too short, afternoon.

Anyway, Brooke and Cody have to be standing on stairs, because Brooke is pretty much the same height as Cody; not nearly as short as she looks here. I LOVE her outfit though. As for Cody, I realized every time I draw a guy for a Christmas picture, they're always wearing a red shirt of some kind. Cody is the first male to wear a green shirt for a Christmas picture He's also the first to wear denim jeans instead of black slacks or something.

Amy's outfit is kind of like her mother's, only Amy is wearing a green sweater with the gold cuffs and collar. Under that she's wearing a green mini skirt with the gold hem, and black pants and red socks under that. Her red hair band also has candy cane striped bows on either side.

Sweet picture don't you think?

Well, Merry Christmas from the Roses! And also Merry Christmas from me, and all of these crazy characters I have, including UnLight, UnDark, Kashkie, Halo, Zenith, Nadir, Grace...and even my version of Shadow Whatever you celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!
