lol, I was inspired to draw after writing "Be my Valentine" Expect a picture of Lairen with her older half-siblings Maddox and Tammy at some point.

This is a picture of Auron with his younger brother Nathan. It escapes me how much younger Nathan is, or whether I established an age for him or not. Just remember Auron is 20, and Nathan is no younger than fifteen.

So, I aim to explain that youthful expression on Nathan's face.

If you've payed attention to my stories about Auron, (nudges "Be My Valentine") you'd probably know by now that Nathan suffers from a severe form of mental retardation. However, with his special powers Auron is able to communicate with Nathan, able to understand what Nathan might want, from something to eat to wanting to play, and can even speak to his brother telepathically. Nathan can understand Auron, but doesn't understand how his brother speaks to him in this way, and so Nathan cannot think at will and communicate back.

However, the brothers are very close for this very reason. Auron is the only one who has gotten to know who is brother really is, trapped by his mental disorder. Auron would do anything to protect his little brother, and if he feels Nathan is being hurt or made fun of, Auron will put his aura powers on the offensive and fight back, to the point where you learn to back off, but not too much so he can keep his powers under the radar.

He loves Nathan so much, he was willing to sacrifice a college education so their parents could invest all of their money in Nathan's care. He's promised his parents that no matter where he ends up, he will take care of Nathan when his parents pass away, bringing them much comfort.

So one day, even if he's married and has children, Auron has promised to bring Nathan to live with him should the need arise, so he won't have to end up in a home. This is why Auron wants to find a girl who loves Nathan as much as he does, because this will mean that Nathan will be a part of both of their lives.

...Nathan hasn't been in a story yet, so it remains to be seen just how much Lairen and Nathan bond.

Gotta love brotherly love X3 As much as I love the twin brother love Air and Ell have, I love older brother to younger brother love too ^^ Just like with Hidama and Knux.

Man, I haven't drawn Auron in his usual outfit in a long time. He looks different XD And little Nathan is adorable <3

And for those of you who don't know, Nathan is inspired by my autistic brother Matthew. When I made Auron and Lairen I mixed up different parts of Aaron and myself, giving Auron parts of my life and personality, (a mentally retarded brother and two parents, as opposed to Aaron's big family. Auron also plays the violin like I used to, as opposed to the piano). And no, they aren't perfect mixes of Aaron and me, for instance neither of us have half-siblings, or a dead parent like Lairen does. And while Lairen is a twin, she is a twinless twin, and obviously Eli is alright, so Aaron's not a twinless twin.
