Yay! Fifth set!

And I've decided I'm going to do a bonus picture. You see, my Wrath Guardian was originally Mukot, and the original Patience Guardian was a girl named Diana. Both she and Mukot eventually fall and are replaced by the current Wrath, Mukot's son, Daeron, and Ariadne's daughter, Miku, who is the new Patience. I'm gonna do a picture of Daeron and Miku, but also one of Mukot and Diana since they were the original Wrath and Patience.

But that's for later! We're talking about set number five right now! Sloth and Diligence!

I mentioned before that Persephone was the only female sin. Here we have the only male Virtue, that's Edmund, on the right. He's a white tiger and is the Guardian of the Virtue of Diligence. Diligence, the opposite of Sloth, is the quality of being a hard worker and striving to get things done.

Edmund has been surrounded by women ever since they awoke together. However he's only ever loved them all as sisters. He was close to Penny, since she was always more of a tomboy, but loved Ariadne and Diana the most. After Diana is killed, the Virtues all but seal up their temple, remaining closed off from the outside world, only able to keep an eye on things through their far-seeing vision.

When they find out Beledin is on the rampage, they know something has to be done. Edmund takes the lead, deciding their first course of action must be to find Agatha, for she, or any of them, could be the parent to the next Guardian of Patience. Realizing the lengths Beledin would go to to have the Patience Guardian himself, they realize the best thing to do would be to seal themselves away until they can provide a replacement to Diana.

However, knowing that by that point Agatha has started a loving relationship with the Guardian Kiyoshi, Ariadne doesn't want Agatha to have to hurry into having a child, and decides to remain unsealed and go with Edmund to tell her what's happening. Penny, Bianca, and Talinia seal themselves away, and Edmund and Ariadne leave the temple.

Edmund and Ariadne, seeing how happy Agatha is with her new life, are ready to have a one-night stand to provide the Patience Guardian, despite it being difficult for them, loving each other in a brother/sister way more than anything. Instead, Ariadne is led to a rogue Guardian named Develon, and eventually conceives the next Patience Guardian.

Edmund, now on his own, does what he can to help out. He fights against Beledin on the front lines, saving as many Light Guardians as he can from the Guardian of Will's wrath. The times he is with the others, he meets the Guardian of Beauty, a peacock named Asami. She's been given the task of having a child to replace the Guardian of Balance, but is having a time with it. Edmund is immediately smitten with her and wants to help her. Beledin is eventually calmed, and so the need for her to have this child is relaxed.

But it doesn't stop Edmund. Before he goes off to fight he always asks Asami to smile for him, and does whatever he can to make her laugh. They first meet when she comes across the body of Lormin, after he is killed by Beledin. Things calm down more and more, even if there are problems on occasion, and Edmund sticks with Asami, the two of them eventually conceiving a child. Not the Balance Guardian, which the Guardian of Life, Akemi, ends up having in her daughter Anthia.

Asami has her doubts that she's even pregnant, doubting it up until she feels the first kick. Edmund's tickled by it, and loves taking care of her. Eventually they have their son, named Dimitri, and Edmund adores them both.

Edmund is light-hearted and happy. When he is determined to do something he sees it through. He bears the Diligence he represents, and works hard at things, not stopping until he accomplishes his goals. He can be a bit absent-minded at time, but he's a real sweetheart. He's very polite, to women especially, having lived with no fewer than four of them for most of his life. He's usually always in a good mood, and likes to make any negatives in his life positive. For example when his eye is clawed at and he has to wear a patch for awhile, he makes it fun by pretending to be a pirate.

His best friend is Lormin, who Asami resurrects shortly after she finds him. Nowadays he spends most of his time with Asami and his son Dimitri. Though he can be a bit bitter and likes to punish people for their misdeeds, pleas for sympathy from Ariadne and Agatha are enough to bring the Virtue out in him. Most think it's a weakness he has, but really he just hasn't figured out how to say no to a woman, if she asks him something nicely enough.

Now for Marl of Sloth, the last Sin I came up with. Edmund was actually one of the first Virtues haha.

Marl has less of a back story than Edmund, at least for now. Back when Medula was still alive he was like all of the Sins. He wasn't corrupted by his alignment, and was as active as everyone else. However, from the beginning, Marl was no doubt the shiest Guardian in Medula's order.

He loved Medula dearly. She called both him and Denethor, who is a panda bear, her teddy bears. Despite being the tallest and bulkiest Guardians, they were both very gentle and soft-spoken. While Denethor was out-going, Marl was usually silent, and kept to himself. The one person he would always talk to was Medula.

Fast forward to Mukot and Persephone becoming corrupted. Persephone used her control to corrupt the rest of the Sin Guardians, and any Guardians in their order that weren't banished or hadn't fled (Omega, Serpent, Ryu, Bolero, Sith, and Agatha) Marl and Denethor were often provoked to instinct whenever they would go after Persephone, acting more like animals than the rest during intercourse. However, corrupting them in this way also allowed for the Sins to be corrupted by their alignments. Midas became obsessed with Greed, Cain unable to tolerate others because he was too envious, Gaston went around glorifying himself, and Denethor began to stuff himself with food constantly.

Marl, being the Guardian of Sloth, would sleep for years on end without waking up, usually only doing so if Persephone came to him.

For thousands of years Marl lived in a castle with Denethor, and the two went largely undisturbed, unless Mukot or Persephone came to them for something. After Persephone left and the Dark Guardians went mad without someone to lay with, Denethor alone left the castle to find someone to satisfy his need, finding someone eventually. We'll find out who when I draw him XP

Marl stayed asleep in his castle. His corrupted alignment of Sloth was more powerful than Persephone's spell, and so he slept through the urges, which eventually faded when Persephone became pregnant and Agatha returned with her Chastity to counter it.

However, Marl wouldn't escape for long. Eventually the devil, Amadi, sees him and forces him awake, having control over even the deepest of sins. She sends him after a sin from a different order, a girl named Ayasha, Guardian of Envy.

Unable to control himself, the animal life ferocity shows itself, and he is forced to brutally rape her. When he's awakened he's immediately sickened by his actions, shaken to the core by them.

It's sad to recount, but, Amadi pretty much puts Ayasha through hell. She uses Marl at least two more times, once successfully, where Ayasha conceives a daughter. Angered by Ayasha standing up to her, Amadi curses her similar to the way Agatha was once cursed, and speeds up the growth and arrival of Ayasha's daughter, a little girl she names Heart.

Through all this, Marl tries his best to make things up to her. It turns out she's as shy as he is, and things are rocky for them to start. He keeps trying, immediately smitten with Heart when she is born. Shortly after this, Amadi tries to use him a third time. He tries to find it, but ends up hurting her some before he can be stopped.

...Yeah things are just hell for Ayasha.

However, Ayasha's curse is eventually lifted. This is where things get interesting. Marl speaks up and says he loves her, but it's shortly after she's returned to her old appearance, giving off the wrong signal that he only did since the curse had been lifted. He's given a hard time by both his fellow sins, and Phantom, who is tired of Ameena being upset by him, since Ayasha is her sister. However, Daeron encourages him, and so he continue to keep trying his best for Ayasha and Heart.

Marl may be hefty and sometimes very slow but he's one of the most powerful in his order as far as physical strength; only Omega and Midas surpass him, while Denethor is on the same level as he is. He's the shiest in his order, and likes to keep to himself if possible. He, like all of the others in his order, love Medula dearly, and would do anything for her.

Marl is a Kodiak bear (although I don't think that really stands out XD) and the animal instinct in him can come back if he's corrupted, causing him to snarl and roar like the bear that he is. Most of the time he's soft and even cuddly. He speaks gently, and like the Sin he represents, he can be lazy, napping more than just about anyone. However, since he is no longer corrupted, he's gone back to being as active as he was in his younger years. He spends most of his time now looking after Ayasha and their daughter Heart.

Phew...what a mouthful lol XD

Not many complaints. Some parts of Marl bother me...the anatomy mostly. Edmund came out perfect <3 My only complaint with Edmund is I made him too tall I think...but then again it might be his ears making him look tall XD

Fun fact, all of the Sins and Virtues have different eye colors. Penny and Bianca both have a shade of green eyes, but they're vastly different shades so, they're still different colors XD
