So basically we have Akeme watching the relationship of Teikaru and Deannalee unfold. He still has his concerns about Teikaru, sensing something negative about him under the surface, but, being only a spirit, he can do nothing but sit back and watch, looking after Dee as he has since she was seven. He's comforted at first by the fact that for now, Teikaru is being a good and sweet lover for her. They're only fourteen, Deannalee, and fifteen, Teikaru, and for now the love is fresh and innocent enough. When Deannalee turns seventeen and becomes the Guardian, she will be allowed to marry him.

One of these times, Akeme hears them say, "Hai h'nai eru, qu'etal" to each other. Depending on who says it first, it translates to "I love you forever" while the one in return is saying, "Forever I love you" the words however, are the same. These are the same words that are on the cover of the comic, underneath the title, "Transcendence" So now you have a small clue as to what exactly is being Trascended here, or, what the Transcendence is for.

This will become VERY obvious on the next page.

Also yes, on Deannalee's island the women are the dominant ones. Even when they're dating they are allowed to flirt and be sweet with other boys, but the boys can only ever be dedicated to one girl. However you can only ever say "Hai h'nai eru qu'etal" to your LOVER. The one you have intimate relations with. So...despite the flirting freedom girls have, they still place heavy value on true love.

Things like violence against women is unheard of.

This is what makes the years to come all the more shocking, as you will soon see.

All in all this page came out great! Again, I did the sketch, the line art, the flat color, the backgrounds, and the writing, while the lovely Gem did all of the shading and some highlights here and there. She did the amazing water effect of Teikaru's punch, and also drew in the blue arm band he has, signifying he is a water wielder. He should also have a yellow one, for air, but ah well XD Water is the important one as it is his primary element.

Also, Dee starts wearing two necklaces, like her mother, as she's getting older.

Obviously I've got complaints here and there...like Teikaru's long arm in that middle panel, and his long body in the bottom right...plus I keep going between Dee looking young and more mature, but all in all I'm happy with the page =3 Hope you enjoy it and sorry for the wait!
