"...It's darn Kalak and Shadow's fault for not completely erasing Arandor's soul...I'm not a full reincarnate...my soul still carries half of Arandor's life. This is their fault...Shadow mourns for someone who isn't dead! Until I die, Arandor will never exist again...he's nothing more than a memory. ...It's like looking in to a cracked mirror, only...you don't see just your image in the broken pieces...you see the reflection of other things behind you, broken and fuzzy...even so, they're there, like shards of glass stuck in a cotton ball...memories of two other lives float inside my soul, bound to them, unable to live on anywhere outside it. The Light will never rest...if I were to die they would do a shoddy job of restoring my soul and shove it in someone else...you'll see. Shadow prays for him as if he mourns him, and yet he would much rather strip his soul of its essence and jam it into me for the sake of the Light Bearer. He ain't at rest, so he needs to stop acting like he mourns him. They not only killed Arandor, they nearly erased him from existence. Arandor didn't choose to die, it was dealt to him; I am all that's left of him...or, all that's left of him is in me...he doesn't exist anymore. I wish I could know him...so I'd know why I'm moved to weep when his life is spoken of. Arandor's never left Shadow though...like he promised...he's still here, just...looking at the world through different eyes...able to start over again with a healed soul, moving on from the scars of his old life." ~ Kashkie

"Arandor was my only true friend...my brother; were it not for him I would serve the Darkness now and be lost to love and light...and now the very thing he saved me from killed him. I will not rest until Mukot is dead and Arandor redeemed...I don't care if I die in the process. That deceitful wretch...he knew the Anti-Elemental form could kill us...he knew it...and he knew it would destroy Purity in the process. I hate him...also because he created me...I will see him dead; I would have much rather been his victim...no, he had to end Arandor's life...Arandor never even saw it coming...he died before he could awaken...he died in darkness and great pain...and for that, Mukot must be exterminated. I wonder how much pain he was in...he was literally ripped apart...there was nothing left but his nearly destroyed soul...and sometimes I wish the Elderstars would have let me follow him...and let his soul escape as well...instead of being butchered and shoved into another persona. He died in the Anti-Elemental state...that's pain and anguish no mortal could ever feel...namely because they would die before they'd reach that intensity...he wasn't conscious through any of it......he literally was drowning in darkness...he never had closure...he never...had a chance. No...Kalak and the Elderstars arrived far too late...nothing was left...they had to rescue Arandor's soul...his body was long gone...meanwhile I was still raging on in Anti-Elemental state, and it took Kalak to subdue me. I just don't understand what miracle carried me through...why I was fortunate enough to remain in the Anti-Elemental long enough to be saved, and Arandor was not. While it'll never be the same though, Kashkie's doing okay; he's slow to anger and quick to forgive...maybe that's why I called him Arandor once...for he was the same way...kind, forgiving, and most deserving of all things good." ~ Shadow

Yeah, sorry for all the reading, but luckily it covers any description this picture really needs. Kashkie is not your average reincarnate though, for half of Arandor's life is still ingrained in his soul; Kashkie remembers so much of Arandor's life...as if he was there as it happened, which, he was...only...as Arandor. Two hearts...one soul; Arandor is nothing more than a memory now, and until the Darkness is defeated and the Light redeemed, he will never be at rest.

Arandor has had a bit of a revamp in design from that other picture I posted of him, but hee hee, I think he looks cute don't you? ^_^ Anyway, the background was random, meh, hey, they're supposed to be the focus right? Hope you enjoyed the reading ^^ And yeah, this is kind of a preview of my next big fic once my current one if finished, so...yay
