hello guyz
sorry for the long delay to psot something new... my video card burned months ago and i had no computer to work for around 4 months or so...
now i have a crappy 64Mb video card, but at least i can work with Vue again
so... here i have something new... a floating island ^^
i followed the tutorial from GeekAtPlay.com [link] to make this scene ^^

this is the finished piece... i moved the camera a bit and my friend =00AngelicDevil00 added the background terrian for me

so...the composition is freakin good; the island is just in the right place, the tree fits very well and takin all round, the idea and the scene is very cool!
yeah, it needs some more stuff (some land etc...), but more info in the note I sent

well, ive been watching some tutorials yesterday and then wanted to use them...

oh btw, I tried to play with the atmo a bit and place the sun under the shroud of the tree (sunset); it would look cool, but GR is really necessary. so if u wanna make a render like that and don't wanna render for days, I'd do it

guessed so lol...okay if u wanna render it in GR, send it (if the scene is bright, don't set any gain, for the sunset 1.00 gain is enough..or max 3.00)

i was lazy and used a custom atmosphere... maybe when i finish composing the scene i will make my own sunset ^^

Nossa! Ficou mto bom, bem realista nos detalhes e tals, mas eu acho q falou um pouco de profundidade entre o mar e a ilha. Acho que uma sombra resolveria

Looks pretty good so far...something kewl to do might be to use a few of the dead trees, import them, turn them upside-down, then use their bare limbs as if some roots are showing from that masive tree above

in the tutorial they suggest to add roots, but i was kinda lazy and had to go to bed...
in the tutorial, they use the Plum Tree and edit it to make the roots, but as im using a bigger tree, maybe the default dead trees will look better

Take the dead tree into the plant editor and adjust it how you want it

Maybe try to remove a few of the rocks, i think this might be a little to much of them.

Adding something to the background might be a good idea
Like this it's just an empty ocean, And a few island's don't take to much work or time but can make it look much more convincing
