I got this one from =Pembroke which he started here .

The rules are
Rule 1: Each character in this picture has to be from a different series. Rule 2: You can not have any fanart of the characters currently on Deviantart. So if you have a bunch of Sonic pictures on your Dev account, then you can't put him in this meme. 3) All characters must be fictional, so Abraham Lincoln can't be used, sorry.

I posted 1-20 on my LJ as a work and progress, so some of these have already been identified. But, I'll give the DA crew a chance to start from scratch.

5 and 6 are both from comic books. 5 has had two mini series. He was "dead" for 90% of the second one. There are rumors of a movie deal.
