Description My little sister , wanted me to make her a Zelda picture...so here it is I'm extremely happy with how wolf Link turned out, but not as pleased with Zelda herself. We'll see. I'll keep working and keep improving (: Thanks for looking!

The vision is very detailed and very well done! You can capture the warmth that they share. Very well done shading and surreal vision.

Originality is superb and very original. It's heart stopping artwork and the technique is brillant!

The impact is magnificent, heart-stopping, and amazing.

Overall, this could be the real thing. It's brilliant, excellent, amazing, and astounding. Brillant work I must say! Keep it up and you'll be a professional in no time. I'm actually surprised that you're not yet.

Keep working on every drawing you draw and make it count each time. You're very visionary and impactful.

The idea is nice, i can see that you went for a lush and lit illustration/painting.
It's not super exciting since there's not really anything happening storytelling wise.

The first thing I notice is that the background is almost the same value as the fur on the dog. The first place I look when I look at the painting is the face of the dog since you hace the greatest value difference there, "dark green against almost white".

I think the fur looks great on the dog, but the skin looks very plasic like, you seem so be in doubt weather you want to use cell shading or soft shading. Her face is pretty flat since you almost didn't shade it. Even though there is a lot of light she would still have some indication of shade under her chin on the neck, since the lightsource is coming primarily from the upper left cornor.
You have used almost only one end of the value range, and I would suggest that you get some more dark values in there, right now it's very muddy, it floats together.

I like the rim light you did on her chin, but why did you blur her arm outline that much? It blends with the background because there is little edge control on that arm.
It would be nice if you made the background a little darker around her face and the dog's snoud where light meets up with the very light.
Also, having seen your other works I would say that you could have spend a little more time on the hair getting some extra detail in there.
The dog's one ear looks like it's super far away, I think it should be a little darker in order to get closer.
Maybe you could consider a secondary light source or bounce light in a different colour "the complementary" to give everythin some more atmosphere, just like you could consider adding eye reflection according to the environment.

The k9 fur is great though - nice cell shading.

Phew, that was a lot, I hope some of it makes sense. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

I love the dog, but personally I'd like to just chop Zelda right out. You're right about all aspects of that.

I Like how you drew all the hair in this piece The lighting on link is phenomenal and Zelda's hair is great. I get what you were trying to do with her arm petting wolf link on the head, Buuut I'm thinkin that the arm is WAY to long... I think the piece could do without it. I also think you need harsher and more dramatic lines on all the metal in the piece, the shoulder guards look plastic and its the same with the tiara. The sapphire on the crown looks very cloudy aswell I think I would have tried to make the gem look clearer and perhaps shiner. Zelda's lips are beautiful, one thing I would have changed about the face would be that I think the ears are too far away, they should be closer to the face which would give it less of a stretched look. Overall Great pic, the background was lacking but I understand. Great work!
