I've seen the movie a few times, and every time I watch that part of the movie, and every time I see young Nick cry, I cry.

Watched the movie. It was really good. And for Nick's meeting with the JRS, I felt really sorry for him that those scouts abused him and muzzled him like a bunch of cowards. And I believe that a muzzle like that would give him trouble to breathe. T_T

Sure. But if an alternate scene, the scouts would have decided to baby him up as if the place were a nursery school. Either way, it's humiliating how the scouts treated him or would treat him.

I suspect Nick was not the first predator child that wanted to join. The history of the Junior Ranger Scouts must be disturbing.

When Judy arrives in Zootopia, Junior Ranger Scouts can be seen on her right, and all of them are wilderbeasts. Nobody knows what's going on with the JRS at the moment. Now that Judy made Zootopia a better place with no small part of the chaos Bellwether created for Judy to fix, hopefully things have improved with the JRS as well.
