Do I think that the cryptid called the Dogman is real? Truthfully, I'm cautiously open to the possibility, what with so many encounters being reported, though I take them with a grain of salt.

When it comes to those reported encounters, there've been 7 variations reported and they fit into 2 categories, which you can see up above in the picture. Keep in mind, these are just some examples of what the Dogmen CAN look like.

You may wonder what separates the Type-3 Dogmen from Sasquatches given their similarities. Well, for one thing, the Type-3 Dogmen have muzzles, claws instead of toenails and fingernails, and they have post-canine teeth. Some think they're just giant baboons, but that can't be true since baboons are monkeys, and monkey's have tails, which the Type-3s don't have. While the K9 variations are more prone to aggression than the Type-3s, that doesn't mean they're more docile by nature, because they aren't.

No one's quite sure what the Dogmen are, whether they're natural, supernatural, or just plain alien, as the Dogmen keep doing things that could point to any one of those three. They've been seen hurt, and judging by an encounter with a one-armed Dogman, it's clear they don't grow back limbs, but at the same time, they're tough enough that all shooting them does is piss them off, and they're incredibly hard to kill. Some encounters I've heard that could point to them being supernatural involve a woman hearing a Dogman actually talk, and a few Dogmen getting visibly upset at hearing someone recite the Lord's prayer before leaving, amongst other strange happenings. A lot of encounters describe the Dogmen as "emanating evil" and traumatizing, but that could be due to the shock that comes from seeing something the witnesses were told shouldn't exist. There've also been encounters where the witness had a more calm and civilized experience, and where the Dogmen clearly have an above-animal intelligence, showing that they know what guns are and how doors work.

I didn't color these because I didn't think it would work out right given that Dogmen come in a variety of colors, including grey, brown, mottled, blonde, white, red, though the most common color appears to be black. In fact, it's often described as being jet black, light-absorbing black even. Their eyes are slanted, and the most common color for both eyes and eye shine is yellow or amber, but occasionally, green or blue-eyed Dogmen have been seen, and sometimes with white eye shine. Red eyes and red eye shine have also been reported in many cases, with even some where the witnesses claim they saw the eye color change from amber to red. There've also been cases where witnesses reported that the eyes don't just reflect light, but also glow by themselves.

Sounds:
- Deep, vibrating growl
- Panting, heavy breathing
- Deep, powerful howl
- High-pitched scream (many compare it to the werewolf howl of "An American Werewolf In London")
- Can sometimes make sounds similar to peculators and/or cappuccino or espresso machines

Favorite Hangouts:
- Near meandering rivers
- Wetlands
- Roads & Railroads (most likely for an easy meal in roadkill)
- Dense forests with heavy undergrowth
- Crossings (bridges, bypasses, railroad bridges, crossroads)
- Cemeteries
- Near military areas (don't make assumptions here)

Behavior:
- Intelligent
- Instills uneasiness in witnesses
- Often content with just chasing people out of areas
- Possible attacks usually preceded by provocation (shooting at them is a big no-no)

Edit: Forgot to mention, a common occurrence in a Dogman encounter is that, when one shows up, everything goes dead silent, and a horrible stench makes itself known, like a combination of wet dog, urine, excrement, and rotting flesh.
